MANUEL AWe rented a 10' truck for a local Costco pickup. We made our purchase and grabbed a couple of Costco's guys to help us load the truck. But... there was a padlock on the back of the truck. I called our neighborhood U-Haul location, but they didn't answer. The main number answered and tried to reach my local U-Haul, but again, no answer. I was transferred to another person who also tried the local store. Fortunately, she was able to find the combination for the lock. 20 minute delay. I reported the problem when we returned the truck (it also had a burned out headlight). They told us that homeless people sometimes sleep in the trucks, so they padlock them, but apparently forgot to remove it when rented. It wasn't a horrible transaction, but it really added to my already crappy day.

KEVIN DWhen the morning manager Mike checked in my truck, it was a one day rental and he billed me for over and close to 5000 miles and my bill was $3300. Luckily I checked my receipts. I called and complained and he said he just made the mistake and move the decimal point over one and rolled the wrong number. Not checking to see if it was correct and he submitted it. He got processed through my bank as pending luckily I was able to call the bank and let them know what’s going on and the charges are getting reversed, but it’s ridiculous that I would have to do that. I told him that Jeff the manager would not make this mistake and that he needs to take his time and not rush the job especially when you checked in my truck at 5:30 in the morning this is freaking ridiculous. Other than that everything went well.

DANIAL Ethe trailer waaaaaas in good condition, but trash in it a cigarette box and papers left in it, i did return the trailer the same day but the person working there didnt return the trailer on paper till the next day i was there at around 400pm. the next day i get a call from the location that when am i going to return the trailer when it was already there. ? i even tried to store the trailer before anyone came out of the office, the worker stop me telling me its a maintanence problem. there to do that?

ONYEBUCHI Nwell for one the staff are slow to respond; they are not looking at the trucks close enough and expect you! to make sure they did their job cleaning and making sure the dollies are locked down , almost got charged for that and was pretty upset at their incompetence, however not all bad i do rent what i expect to rent so, they lack some curtesy and respectful response. I would still use them but this time around i didn't really like my experience, I've rented from them 4 or 5 times already. Ive seen them upset customers and do nothing to remedy the situation.

JESUS ARental truck cabin had gap in ceiling above driver seat - drafty ride. This condition was not apparent until I drove on freeway. That aside, the truck performed well during my drive from Los Angeles to New Mexico. Chris was very courteous & helpful when I picked up the truck.

Michael AI could not understand a word the representative was saying. Communication was very poor. He/She told me I could park my car in the back. That was not possible so I came back and asked a different representative and he gave me proper directions, clear and understandable that I need to find a spot on the street. I paid for more mileage than what I used and needed because the first representative just typed in a bad rough estimate of how much mileage I would need.
Frank CI was in the system at u-Haul and gave my driver’s license. In additional the young man took a picture of me as well. I felt like a criminal. This was a step too far for me..
NYLDA O4 wheel car hauler had a defective wheel strap (warn through 50%). Customer had back up strapping. Customer will inspect much closer next rental.

EDDIE PIt would be great if U-Haul gave money back for the extra gas it was filled in the cargo van, with proof of a receipt. I thought that $10 dollars would be enough to fill up the tank to how I received and I put an extra gallon of gas. So I asked for the receipt and went to drop the cargo van but the lady at the desk told me that U-Haul doesn't give money back for the extra gas it was put into. Disappointed on the fact that it's not possible even with proof of a gas receipt. Hope it can change one day. I like to rent the cargo vans multiple times.
CESAR NVery bad customer service, the lady working at the parking lot was very rude and she doesn’t help customers.
AIMEROMEO KThe check out takes quite a lot of time and the line gets longer. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It's just easier to keep a trailer longer since it takes time to re rent it and to just return after we finished moving. Easy night drops are very convenient.

GERY IUpon arrival, the vehicle I reserved for an 8am pickup time was being blocked by another vehicle and wasn't ready until almost 1.5 hrs later.

SCOTT WWe stood in line for one hour and 12 minutes to pick up our van that we pre-ordered two days before the manager was a half an hour late. The only person at the counter was hitching up a trailer. You people really need to schedule according to the rentals you have going out. I wish there was a competitor. I would go there next time, and then the craziness of your computers, the delay what are you people have DOS absurd
Alice EI rented a truck for a one way rental . The guy at the counter didn’t tell me I only had a certain amount of miles for the rental. Upon return they said I went over the mileage so I had to pay extra. Didn’t know about this at the time.

JULIAN LHire more staff. A 45 minute wait with 5-6 people in front of me in line is crazy. The truck wasn't clean. It was marked at 3/8 of a tank, but was clearly 1/4. This is a very common occurrence. Also, the recommended amount to fill the tank is always a lie. Filling the suggested amount fills more than advertised, so you con your customers into filling the tanks for you.
