Customer service was rude and unprofessional. They said first that they don't have the van I booked online, and they cannot do anything. Then someone came in and drop off a van, so I took it, they said they didn't have the dolly I booked online, so I went outside to look and I found one. I took the van for less than an hour (I couldn't move what I needed to move which is not their fault), I dropped the van off at 3pm, and the final receipt has an extra $20 charge for an after hours service. $90 for a terrible service and terrible customer service, I literally got yelled at for mentioning I had checked in online, and not to mention the 20 wait time until someone spoke to me.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent U-Haul rental experience and am requesting a refund for the additional fuel charges as well as compensation for the unacceptable service I received. I reserved a truck along with two dollies well in advance specifically because I needed them to move heavy furniture and boxes. When I arrived, the truck was already extremely low on fuel and actively displaying low fuel warnings on the dashboard. On top of that, the dollies I reserved were not available. The lack of dollies created a major problem on an already stressful moving day. I specifically reserved that equipment because it was necessary for the move, not optional. Instead of providing a solution, I was told to go to Home Depot to find dollies myself — which turned out to be a waste of time because they did not even have any available. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was not informed ahead of time that the requested equipment would not be available. Waiting until I arrived effectively trapped me into proceeding without the equipment because changing plans on moving day is nearly impossible. That level of communication and preparation is extremely irresponsible. To make matters worse, I was charged $43 in fuel-related charges, including a $30 fee for returning the truck under 1/4 tank, despite the fact that the truck was given to me already below 1/4 tank and actively showing low fuel warnings when I picked it up. This entire experience caused unnecessary stress, delays, additional work, and extra expenses during an already difficult moving day.

I'm not sure why I was charged an extra $49 for additional mileage. The plan was always to deliver the material to Smyrna,TN and back-track to Wedgewood. Where did the extra mileage come from since I returned the truck a day ahead of time?

It was so bad. We reserved the truck and when we went there They told us that they didn’t have the truck and they change location and we went to all the location. They said the same thing that they didn’t have a truck so we had no choice to choose another one where reserved and still or not giving us the truck you want.

This particular location never seems to have someone working at the cashier's area. There is no customer service, there is no interest in making sure you understand the rules/expectations in a helpful, friendly and concise way- you are told just to go find your truck. The Uhaul website also malfunctioned- wouldn't take my photos of the truck- it creates a sense of mistrust, as if you are mainly interested in getting more money for damages not caused by myself. It seems like you are not so much interested in protected your trucks, but rather just scamming customers.

I was transferred to 3 different locations and Uhaul called within an hour of my reservation and said they didn’t have the equipment I had reserved. I didn’t get the equipment I had paid for nor did I get to pickup the only option they had left for me at the original location. WORST CUDTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE ever!!! Who can I talk to at corporate???

The return experience was quite terrible. I was not informed that I had to download the app to return the truck after business hours. I arrive with 30 min to spare on my rental, I try to download the app and for some reason it wont let me. While this was an oversight on my part, I tried to call the 24/7 help line for Uhaul to figure out what to do. This location is not in the nicest of areas and I was sitting out in the dark alone waiting on hold for 15 minutes trying to return the truck. No one ever answered the phone so I had to have someone else come that already had the app to come and complete the return process before my reservation time ended and I was charged again. Not to mention earlier when picking up the truck, the entire system was down which ate into about an hour of my time which I needed to move. The location itself wasn't the issue, the experience with UHaul was the issue. If you are going to offer 24/7 customer assistance via phone its important someone actually answers the phone.

First of all, I reserved this rental a week in advance and only learned when I was picking up the rental that there was no dolly available that I had previously reserved. Obviously, no one is renting a U-Haul and a dolly for fun. I had a major move, and I assumed that I could trust the reservation that I made would be fulfilled. Then, the app was not working for me to take pictures of the rental to complete the check in. When I went into the store to ask for guidance, one of the staff members told me to take pictures of the truck on my phone, which I had already done. When I was trying to explain to the employee that I had already taken the pictures on my phone outside of the app, but the app would not let me complete the rental pick up without uploading the pictures and I needed assistance from a professional, the employee repeatedly interrupted me, suggested that I was being racist, and called me “sweetheart” in a derogatory tone. To say I was shocked is an understatement. To make matters worse, when I eventually go to get in the truck, I was unable to adjust the side mirrors because the truck was so old. Also, there was a crack in the windshield. Additionally, the backup camera didn’t work. At this point, I had been trying to pick up this truck for 45 minutes. Finally, when I went to return the truck, there was such a significant line of trucks that had been dropped off and not processed that I could barely pull into the lot from the busy street. I have rented from U-Haul countless times, but this experience did me in. I will not be relying on U-Haul on 8th Avenue in Nashville again.

The two people working were rude and confrontational. I was in turn very rude and pissed off back towards them. I got attitude from them and gave it right back. Nevertheless, it was dropped off. All in all, it was not horrible just tension after a long day.

The service was very poor and none of the processes were followed. The person gave me the keys and did not tell me where to go, I had to go find the uhaul myself. I was charged for the gas, when I actually was given the vehicle with less than 1/4 a tank of gas and had to pay money myself to be able to even get to the location. The van also smelt like cigarettes. When it was time to turn it in, no one was able to help me where I could have even gotten help for these issues. Not going back to this location again. Extremely unprofessional and made me feel like I was doing them a disservice by renting a vehicle.

I had a tire that almost came off of the trailer. I watch tires cause I am in a wheelchair because of a tire. This was very terrifying cause if I had not noticed the tire wobbling, it would have flew off in the next 30 min. At 65mph.

Truck had a check engine light which turned out to be an evap leak. Apparently there was a breach in the gas filler tube or a connector n the tank. When I filled it up to full it did not stop and spilled around 4 gallons of gas under the truck.. not cheap at $4 a gallon. Would have been nice to know before driving and filling the tank all the way
