Then I was told they only had an appliance hand truck and it was brought to the checkout and I brought it to the truck which was pulled up to the building. Overall my experience with the customer service wasn't great and stressed me out.

MARIA WRIGHT | Overall ExperienceThere is zero reason to use the online system. After using the system one is inundated to an obnoxious degree with up-selling emails. Then, when you arrive, individuals who are walk ins are ahead of you in line. My observation was it was faster to process a walk in customer than one that had reserved online. This is not a criticism of the staff at the rental location as they were efficient and knowledgeable, this is a statement about the waste of time and exposure of personal information on a website for absolutely no reason what-so-ever under false pretense and or guise that it would speed up one's rental experience. So the rental location was A-OK the company as a whole-not so much.

James KauraIt took 2 grumpy customer service agents 7 minutes to check me out- time that I had to pay for. They don't start the clock when they're done btw. They had no other customers, but I had to walk clear to the back 40, peel my own uhaul truck out of the line-up, get the frost off the windows, and waste 10 minutes additional time. The only nice n easy part of this is the gentleman I returned it to. He asked about the drive n cleanliness with a smile on his face. This was the hardest weekend of my life and at the very least, a person could use a smile when they walk in the door to your establishment. You never know what they're going through.

Tushar AthaleDrop-off location was way out of my way. U-Haul made me drop off my rental at this location due to the fact the location close to my residence had no yard room to accept the truck. Why is that a customer problem? When it came time to check in I had to ask the clerk for a paid receipt otherwise I would not have received one. Personnel while friendly, could be a lot more welcoming. Try to smile? Customer Service at the (515) area code was extremely rude on Friday when I called to get my drop off location changed. I have rented from U-Haul four times in the past year. This is the last time I do any business with U-Haul. I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone. Time to try your competition.

He must be good at training people, too, because a worker, Skylar, gave me good information when I was looking at the grounds. I asked him a couple of questions before I even got to the door, and he was very willing to help.

I was told that I could rent in advance for an extra day as a back up if I needed it which I did. I didn't need it, but you people wouldn't refund the additional day's rent that I paid. Kim HiscoxTruck was clean and worked as needed, but a lot of dents/damage that was not marked on the truck and the covering was peeling so my concern was possibly getting charged for damage I did not cause since previous damage was not logged correctly. Not saying this reflects on the location I rented from but maybe a truck that needs to be put out of rotation.

David BerndtThe worker was very friendly and helpful. The trailer had a funny smell, he agreed and moped it out for me and then put down 2 blankets to soak up any remaining moisture. He told me the lights were just fixed and then when I returned it said one set of lights were out again and would need to be checked and fixed. A good experience.

The drop off after hours is A must, I never know how long it’s going to take to move someone. Perhaps someday I will actually get to rent a U-Haul from you for myself. Evidently my friends and family don’t have the time or money to do these moving’s by themselves. For me, I’m not sure what you can do to make my experience better. Thank you so much. U-Haul seems to always be there when I need them.(when my family and friends need them.LOL)

They acted like I was bothering them while asking for help and at one point even ripped my phone out of my hands to see the app screen. Then upon moving out, I had lost my key and didn't know what the options were. The guy LITERALLY laughed at me on the phone and told me to get a locksmith in an extremely condescending tone. I didn't know! I had never rented a space before. While there and needing some help, no one was to be found. One employee was having a domestic dispute with a girl in the parking lot loudly with cussing and everything. I was happy with the security and cleanliness of the building though
