I had to gas up immediately upon pick up as the gas tank was near empty, also the windshield was so covered with dirt I could hardly see through it. Grease/oil was coming out of the hubs of all wheels, but I was told not to be concerned about it .. really?? a 55-year-old woman, and her 80-year-old mother, moving across two states, but cross your fingers and hope for the best :(

Truck has seen better days, uhaul in general has gone down hill and is an absolute nightmare to deal with on the phone because the representatives just lie to get the reservation even though the equipment isn't available. The person on site was able to get me on the road though

First, I tried calling the location and I received an automated message saying that I had to download the app and proceed to order my rental through the app. I found this very frustrating and used the chat function to hopefully end up with the flatbed that I needed. However, on the last step a message came up that there were none left at this location and that I would have to try another location. The person on the end of the chat then asked if we could talk, which we did and he resolved that the notice I received was incorrect. While the person on the chat was very good, I would have rather handled all of this with a personal contact with a person at this location, rather than the app.

Make sure the trucks are locked at night. I got my rental this morning, only to open the door at my apartment complex and find that someone used the bathroom inside the back. Thankfully the location apologized and got me another rental truck right away. Was not the way I wanted to start my moving day.

Because I had to pick up the truck at a different location than the trailer, I explained to the gentleman that the AC is not working. I asked him if he could charge the AC there and he said there was nothing he could. He wouldn't even help me locate another truck. Piss poor customer service, especially driving across country in humid temps. Not an enjoyable journey, having to have the windows down 90% of the drive. I know the truck wasn't his issue, but atleast call other locations in Albuquerque perhaps to try to find me a replacement vehicle...I'll never rent from U-Haul again, especially as a retired military member...

All trucks should be fueled to FULL. I picked up a truck at 3/8 full and told to return it at the same level. So easy to say, very hard to do. I eventually returned it about half full, extra 4 gallons, $30 because it is hard to estimate 3/8 arrival at destination.

Brenda in the Albuquerque location (I believe was her name) was very helpful AND kind. Moving is a hellish experience and she was very nice to me and my mom while attaching the huge trailer to my truck.

Have the store manager or staff on duty bring the truck to the front door for the customer. That way they have started the engine and can recognize if anything is out of kilter. They will at a glance determine if there is anything noetworthy to inform the customer. It implies "customer service." I don't like backing up big trucks I hardly ever use. I also felt the person completing my rental could have been a little more friendly. I also didn't know I was gonna get an email telling me to verify the vehicle I rented. We've used U-hual for over 50 years and have come to recognize the company's (and Franchisees') reliability nation-wode. Thank you! I am 75 years old.

The unloading team did not assemble the bed after telling me that they would just stacked the unassembled pieces up in 2 corners of the room after my 70+ year old self has been sleeping on the floor for 10 days it made me feel like I was lied to

Ihadprepaid60miles.I used much less in miles. When I return trucks to other locations, the charges are adjusted immediately for mileage and costs. The agent said I would see the adjustment with my bank in a few days. That's a new process that I have not seen with you other agents and locations. Not really happy with that kind of business practice.

9 out of 10 times I tried to access my storage to put stuff in/out, I was unable to do so. Due to the lanes being blocked by either uhaul trucks or employee cars. Even the day I moved out 12/26.
