The ubox account on line was unusable. It was so difficult to decipher. We had ubox numbers, master number, account number, etc... It would show all 5 boxes, then only 2 boxes. Everything worked out and showed up, but we had no confidence that that would be the case do to difficulty using the site. The numbers and dollar amounts kept changing. Very frustrating.

The man in charge the day we rented the U-Haul was incredibly cold after I had mentioned that we were sent to that location because the location we were supposed to pick up the rental truck had run out of trucks. Unfortunately that location was further away from my home and I asked if he could compensate for the inconvenience and charge us for the mileage of the location in Montclair instead of Upland. After that the man became incredibly cold and it was "No, it's either my way or the highway treatment" He was terrible and did not want to help us change our pick up location to another more convenient location. He just said either take this location or leave because he didn't know how to change it from his end. He said that we'd have to contact the central U-Haul call center and change it ourselves. In the end, we were pressed for time and had to just take the U haul, But he forgot to give us our utility dolly and he charged us for it. We really felt that the man does not like his job and disliked us and treated us very poorly. He left a very bad impression. Someone should re-train this man and educate him on being friendlier to customers. Was it wrong of me to ask if he could reduce the mileage because that was not the original location we were supposed to pick up the rental truck? It was much further away. Why couldn't he send us to a closer location? Why did he tell us to do it ourselves? What possessed him to act so cold to his customers? He never tried to meet us halfway. To make things worse, he didn't even give us a utility dolly and we suffered a lot moving heavy furniture. I can't recommend this location

Under only one circumstance would I recommend Uhaul to others and be willing to change my review and that is if you refund me the OUTRAGEOUS $24 dollars you charged me for the 4 gallons of gas YOU put into the car after I had just put $25 worth of gas into the truck and returned it. The manager would not show me any proof that the gas was 4 gallons short. This is unacceptable. You don't get to pick out certain customers to overcharge. It's ridiculous. I recommend that you go elsewhere, just not here.

Friendly service as far as communication goes but forgetful that some customers have been waiting for their equipment to get using instead of realizing “oh crap” I'm taking my customers time away from using the equipment they just paid for to rent and now they have 22 1/2 hours of use instead of 24 hours like they paid for. Thanks.

Take a vehicle that is not safe to drive on the road out of your feet. Truck smelled like marijuana now my household goods smell like it, and law enforcement wanted to see what I was transporting, I'm a senior citizen.

Somehow the van rental I was able to reserve on line was not available when I went in to pick up, but, the team worked hard to ensure I was able to pick up the van ASAP. They set the expectation that it would likely be less or equal to an hour. They called me personally to let me know that a customer had returned a van and it was ready for me to pick up. In our case, the timeline of an hour later was not a huge inconvenience. When I arrived, the team hustled to be sure I didn't have to wait long and backed out the van for me to drive off. Great staff!

Steering on van in rented on monday pulled hard to the right also the transmission would not shift into overdrive causing higher fuel consumption. This is not an issue that would be determined with a casual inspection but a toad test

This was not my contracted drop-off location. Mine was: 2 P's N A Pipe 1828 N. Beale Rd. Marysville, CA 95901 On 11/1/2021, I received a call from an unknown number that I didn't answer as I was driving on an errand. When I tried to call (530) 674-8256 back once I was stopped, my call was dropped. Shortly after, I received a text from 84285 with the phone number 866-648-0872. When I called this number, I was greeted by CSR Cherish, who was very pleasant and understanding. She informed me that the truck still had not been checked in. I told her I dropped it off at the contracted location on 10/30/2021 and put the key in the secure keybox on the door of 2 P's N A Pipe as no one was present at the business. Cherish said the drop-off location she saw on her screen was 1125 N. Beale, which was not the location on my contract. Cherish stated she'd have someone go out to 1828 N. Beale to find the truck and that I should call back if there were any discrepancies in billing.

The uhaul truck was leaking gas. I showed it to the check-in person upon return. I ended up wasting more gas than expected and it cost me more. The person said the truck should be averaging around 15 miles per gallon, I averaged 8 miles to the gallon. If someone wants to follow up, call me 510-499-7900. thx

The truck I rented was in very poor condition, upon pickup the coolant light was on. While driving, the entire truck would shake and rock back and forth, feels like the front left wheel is out of balance or damaged. The rear slide out ramp retainer was damaged and made it very difficult to use. The inside of the windshield was very dirty, headlight visibility was poor. I was able to successfully move but driving that specific truck was an absolute pain. It needs to be seriously repaired or taken out of commission. The employees at this location are always awesome and I have rented many times. My first time having an issue with a rental. Thank you kindly, Kevin Edgar 5105652000

The counter rep was very polite and helpful. I had waited on hold for over 20 min before arriving at the location, but got there and they had been very busy and the staff was super. They were kind and helpful to everyone in line ahead of us as well. Can't even say anything bad about the hold time since the service was so great once arrived.

Unfriendly, unhelpful staff, unprofessional, filthy truck, the cab and storage smelled of Marijuana and we had to drive with windows down for 4 hours, was concerned truck would break down on us. I have never had such a bad experience with uhaul before this.

I dont know, frankly. The reception gal greeted me when I walked in so that I would head towards her vs. the other guy stocking shelves on the way to her. She was super nice and made me feel comfortable. The manager and one hispanic dude were also nice, smiled, welcoming. One boy walked around w/ headphones on, no eye contact. Couldnt be bothered by guests in line & didnt acknowlege any of us.. a big smile would have sufi ed

The entire experience was HORRIBLE! First, the first reservation was canceled. Then I made another, different location, further away. No problem, I need one. Then the night before I pick it up, the date is moved from 9/27 to 10/11?????? I called as soon as I could and reconfirmed the pickup for the 27th. I showed up early having left Placerville CA at 5am. I wanted to make sure they had one. They did but after waiting over 1/2 an hour outside the office because I am unable to wear a mask, I was told they didn't have a tow dolly. I said there's one over there, I was told it's broken??? They were rude & condescending. The worst customer service I've ever had from uhaul. The reno location at Silverada & Oddie sucked!! Then there the hassle of finally getting the dolly. I met my cousin in Reno the tow the dolly, then we drove 2 trucks from Reno to Yuba City CA. Extra fuel, a lost day, delaying my return home, I believe a refund for this complete mess of a rental is reasonable to request.

Put in a reservation the day before we needed the uhaul. We were at this location right at opening and were the second in line to pick up our vehicle. As we left the service counter we were told our truck would be brought around. We stood waiting for an hour watching others that had come in behind us get their uhauls and go. We continued to wait and were finally able to get someone's attention. The gentleman went to the vehicle we pointed out as ours and cleaned it out. He drove it over near us and handed it off to another fellow to take pics of the instrument panel and to give us the key. I let this one know that we had also rented a dolly but because the gal we rented it from called it an appliance and utility dolly, I was unsure of which one we were supposed to have when asked. I guess the guy went to find out so again we had to wait. Meanwhile we see this same fellow walking out to other parked vehicles and even moving one. While moving it, he saw me watching him and acknowledged me. After getting done with that task, he finally grabbed a dolly out of another truck and put it in ours. While we were waiting at our uhaul, we began our inspection. When I tried to dispute a picture, I was alerted that my link had expired. While I had the dolly man near me, I questioned a dinged up bumper that wasn't clearly marked with an X and he assured me a lower X covered that as well. Great! We were off. After completing our haul, we returned to give back our rental. I pulled it up to the return area and there was nobody in site. I got out, looked around for somebody to come out but nobody did. So I went inside to let them know I was trying to return our uhaul. The lady inside was a bit rude who had also been very rude to a customer that morning who was having an issue picking up a self help rental and had been there for several hours before Uhaul had opened. Anyway, this lady told me there was somebody outside to do the return. I corrected her and she said she would radio someone to come out. Back out I go. The dolly guy from that morning came out and said he didn't know how to work their return equipment because he was new but pointed in the direction of another fellow who could help me. So this guy comes over, doesn't say anything to me after being asked to do the return, talks to the other guy about a trailer, does something on his handheld device, and then finally asks for my info. He pulls up my rental info, tallies my miles, tacks on a couple to my bill and after all of that, I'm done. The biggest pain I have ever experienced when dealing with any Uhaul location. After this, I will do whatever I can to not have to return to this place again. Horrible!
