The employees at the Portland store were kind and helpful, but insoon found out the tow dolly was not secured properly at store and 150 miles into a 1400+ mile journey, the ramp fell and was scraping along the highway making sparks fly about. This left me on the side of the road in the dark, early morning needing to secure the malfunctioned equipment, so i could drive to drive to the Uhaul location near my first pit stop (Merced, Ca). At this location they remedied the problem, but after the stress and danger of the situation, Uhaul could have offered better customer service by discounting some of the services, or offering something else.

Provided inaccurate information regarding the rate and final bill. Manager zack was extremely rude and did not attempt to listen to my perspective regarding the issue. He spoke loudly, over me and just stuck to he’s script regarding the rates - even while admitting to their employee providing erroneous info. Perhaps this is the uhaul way. While I am a long-time customer of this store - I will not be returning. I do not recommend this store and would suggests looking for alternatives other than uhaul if this is the company culture.

The person who helped me was helpful to me but he was pretty rude to other customers. One lady called during the time I was being helped and the employee's comment after he put the person on hold was out of line and inappropriate. He also raised his voice at another customer. At the time I was picking up the truck I had rented there was a customer who had rented the same size truck. He did the online check-in and pick up option where I opted to go into the store and pick up the truck. The employee ended up reserving the other customer's truck for us and then yelled at that customer when the customer was trying to figure out what had happened. The other customer was not being rude at all. I felt like the employee's behavior that morning was out of line and did not in anyway reflect good customer service. I also feel there is discriminatory practices for customer service. What I mean to say is when I made this reservation I was charged more than I expected. My partner and I made the same move with the same equipment two weeks prior to this move and was charged significantly less. I ended up paying 60$ more than my partner paid 2 weeks ago for literally the same equipment and distance. I was incredibly disappointed in this experience.

The clerk didn’t even look up from his phone when I returned the vehicle but charged for extra cleaning and not enough gas. I might be willing to accept charges like these given a conversation or even a mention but the clerk never so much as made eye contact. I am done with Uhaul.

My rental equipment was not checked in after dropping it off. The next day I received an email saying I had not returned my equipment. I called and let them know that I had returned it before 4pm the following day. After they finally ‘returned’ the equipment, I received a charge on my card for an extra day of rental, safemove coverage, they overcharged my mileage by 40 miles, and additional daily charges. This prompted ANOTHER call to have it fix, which will take 3 days. Moving is stressful enough - this made it significantly worse.

This was the 3rd location i was sent to, 10 additional miles from my original location in the opposite direction of my destination. Staff at all your locations are clearly disgruntled and dont give a fuck about customer service. There were 5 hanging keys at the second location for the size truck I wanted. You all should have rented me one of those and moved the truck from your location. Horrible service by staff.

The process getting a 26' truck with the Uhaul organization was horrendous. The people at the Sandy location (once that location was defined for my pick up) were great. Truck was clean and ready. But the process and lack of communication was terrible in securing a location with a 26' truck. Also, returned the truck at defined drop off on Dec1st. After hours, keys in drop box. I received a call saying that I would be incuring late charges if I didn't return it, and they checked on it and obviously found the truck and identified the keys. Nobody checked in my truck the morning of the 2nd. I was not charged late charges, but the emailed paperwork shows I returned it on the 4th. I returned it December 1st in the evening. Everything was very unorganized on both ends. But the Sandy location was great!

I asked for the smallest/cheapest trailer and was rented a larger one. I noticed two small trailers when I checked out, and was told they were both more expensive trailers with ramps, but when I returned mine the following morning, both were still there and I noticed (as I thought) that one was a basic, non-ramp 4x7 trailer. I feel like I was duped into just paying an extra $5. Otherwise, I've never had issues at this location. It just seems like they don't maintain good records or know what they have on the lot.

There was a used Coors Light can in the truck and it felt a little unclean. Otherwise truck ran well and got our job done. Staff at Sandy Blvd location were helpful.

I sent a message to 804057GM@uhaul.com to complain about being charged $20 for after hours. I was unable to get y phone to show my location and the system wouldn’t let me continue without it. I even asked a couple young guys that came in after me, and they were unable to help (I’m a senior citizen and not very tech savvy). I requested a refund for the extra charge on 11/26. No one responded. I rent from you several times a year and have never had to checkout on my phone. Not happy,

THE MANAGER WAS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL HE WOULD NOT SIGN ON THE CONTRACT THAT I BROUGHT THE TRAILER BACK IN GOOD CONDITION. THEREFORE, I HAVE NO PROOF THAT I RETURNED IT. I CALLED UHAUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TALKED TO JASON WHO WAS HELP AND TOOK MY COMPLAINT. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE THIS PERSON WORKING OR REPRESENTING MY COMPANY.

Reduce your mileage costs - they are ridiculous. I use Enterprise during the week because they offer their price with up to 200 miles and the only reason I use Uhaul on weekends is because they are closed on Saturdays. I would love to only use Uhaul as it's close to my home. Give us a better deal!!

Employees were very late opening store - around one-half hour. As such, employees were scrambling to attend to customers. Employees made mistakes, that's part of life; however, they were terse and deferential. The store had a great selection of products. I would recommend the location for its product lines and vehicle selection.

Location was fine. Your website, online process, and ease of rental is abysmal, throwback to 2000s. There is no reason you couldn’t make a system like Uber/Zipcar/etc that allowed immediate streamlined vehicle rental.

Mileage rate is simply too high. I rarely use Uhaul. I’d rather pay a friend to help and give them a few bucks or use a truck drone Home Depot. Others in this location were very upset about the mileage charge.

I don't have suggestions, really. The people working the store on the day I was there were very polite, professional, and quick. Very good crew.

Our customer service agent was incredibly rude, he started off the conversation rude and every step of the process he was condescending, unhelpful, and rude. I had accidentally made two reservations, and one was cancelled. THIS was my fault; however it was easily fixed though this agent went out of his way to be a jerk about it. He started off the morning by saying "I'm not loading that for you, you can do that yourself," when we didn't ask him to do anything for us. Then he proceeded to tell me that Uhaul doesn't care about the driver's license of the driver, only the person who purchased the Uhaul. And when I said I prepaid for the Uhaul, he told me, dead stop, that I was wrong; I wasn't of course and he ended up owing me $50 by the end of our transaction. We unfortunately, dont know his name as he did not have a name tag on. We do know that he worked Friday morning, at 8:00am. Overall, this was the most stressful experience I've ever had at a Uhaul. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, however, this was absolutely unprofessional and inappropriate. I would hate for any one moving to ever run into this person at 8:00am on moving day.

I used the app which required information that would have been much easier had the process been explained in a prior email. Such as needing a friend to answer their phone or needing a passport. My other complaint is that the truck was completely on empty which interfered with my schedule and caused me to worry about running out of gas.

College dorm overflow Rather hard intitially to get info and deal with Staff, much stuff. Space was physically awkward to access as place up hight off floor. Expensive for Sq Ft.
