First off they are not good at customer service and are quite rude across the board. Also, the bill is still incorrect and the final charges are wrong. I've called the location and the 800 number and no one is willing to help me. They continue to tell me that the original charge was incorrect and thus, I needed to pay the difference for the incorrect amount and the two extra days. No, the contact was for 208. The two extra days should have been charged at the day rate, not 131 dollars. How can you do this to your clients and having me take hours on the phone trying to fix this!?!? It is absolutely absurd. I had attempted to pick up the rental truck via the contactless mobile pick up option. I waited at my truck for 15 minutes for the online check in to work, but it seemed to be stalled and with no notification of what to expect, I went into the building to talk with an employee. I overheard one employee tell another customer that the site wasn't very busy and that the customer could bring the truck back later than his scheduled time if he needed more time. After waiting in line for 10 or so minutes, an employee told me that I had to continue waiting for the online check to go through and then go back into the building to get the keys. So even if the waiting time hadn't been so extreme, this wouldn't have been a contactless pick up anyhow. After another few minutes, the online check in process was complete so I went back inside to get the key. Neither employee was inside at this point, so I waited another 10 minutes or so until one returned, and then waited again as he helped another customer. Both employees at different points took their masks off of their noses and mouths for extended periods. Once it was finally my turn, it had been about 45 minutes since my initial pick up time so I asked the employee if my truck rental drop off time could be extended. He said they were very busy and wasn't sure; I informed him that I had attempted to use the online check in thinking it would be faster and contactless as advertised, but he said that the online check in process takes longer and insinuated that my long wait time was due to my choice to use the online process. I told him that, since I had to wait nearly an hour for my rental, I would need more time. He acquiesced at that point and allowed a 90 minute extension for the drop off time. He handed me my key without another word and I left. At no point was I rude, condescending, or impatient. While the service at pick up was terrible, the person who received the truck when I dropped it off was efficient and respectful.

The check-in was delightful. But the vital numbers info on the vehicle -ie: milage and gas volume - were not accurate. My fault for not noticing paying attention and notifying the reps immediately. Ended up paying extra for milage that, had I really paid attention I would not have had to pay. For check-in I did not even get to the counter. Instructions were hollered at from across the room and was told I would receive my total later. Not quite the optimal customer service experience. May try again with this location if I cannot find another for my needs.

The staff (one person) was friendly and helpful, and did his best to handle the queue. But the wait was over 30 minutes on a Sunday morning to rent a van, even with checking in online. The u-haul web app did not work at critical parts in Firefox or Samsung default browser. It did work on Chrome.

My reservation was made at a different location than the one listed here. When I arrived 10 minutes before my reservation time, I was informed that they did not have any vehicles for me, even though I had made a reservation a week in advance and never received any notification that my reservation would not be filled. I was then told I'd have to drive to another city 30 minutes away to pick up a different vehicle which I was deeply disappointed about. They then attempted to locate something closer, and found a box truck at the location on Sandy blvd referenced here. When I arrived I was given the key and told that the truck was on empty but I'd “probably have enough gas to get to the closest gas station”. Overall it was incredibly inconvenient and made my moving day exponentially more stressful than necessary. I will not be using uhaul again.

Last Monday morning wait times were very long. Joey worked tirelessly to get all the customers taken care of despite the situation. There were at least 6 customers in the store with just one employee, Because I waited in line so long, I didn't have time to properly inspect my truck. When I finally got to my destination, I realized the inside of the truck was very dirty, smelled like urine. There's no way one employee can handle customers and clean the trucks. Overall customer service is still good at this location but the cleanliness of the trucks has deteriorated.

Chris is a one-man army! Treat him well, promote him, something! I saw him simultaneously operate the forklift, unload pallets into the store, check out a customer purchase, and found me truck all at the same time. Friendly with everyone too. We had booked All My Sons moving company about 3 weeks prior, and at 4:45pm ON MOVING DAY they bailed on us. And horrible customer service doing so. Because it would really mess up our timing with move in/out, not to mention the physical toll, I asked if they could at least move us to another day or work overtime and we'd even pay extra... he actually had the nerve to say "do you expect us to put you before other people?" -YES!! You screwed us over, you should make it right! I mean what is the deposit even for?? Anyway, Chris was great. Refreshing to have good customer service after that experience.

Allow the customer the option to reserve online for more than 24 hours. Y'all are scamming people. I needed to extend my reservation but you had already reserved it for someone else so I was charged an additional fee. When I went to the location to pick up the uhaul I was told by the counter person to check in with my phone. Why couldn't he have helped me himself? It took forever. The experience was very stressful.

I have rented many UHauls in the past and it feels like the quality of service has really gone downhill. This pickup location didn't give me a copy of the contract or precise information where and when to drop off the van. The employee didn't even walk me to the vehicle and didn't go over the vehicle operation or care with me. He just handed me the keys at the front desk and said "it's the biggest van at the back of the lot." And UHaul's national call center was woefully inadequate. I spent long periods of time on hold every time I needed to call, including one time when I called for roadside assistance and spent over 20 minutes on hold.

THIS saturday was a challenge,but I got thru it , and those there was some problems ,everyone did their part to fix it ,so im happy .what can YOU do better is ,make sure all the KEYS are where they are suppose to be . I KNOW THAT NO ONE IS PERFECT SO WE HAVE TO BE AS CLOSE AS WE CAN BE , AND SMILE AND HAVE A GOOD TIME DOING OUR JOB ,.I THANK ALL THOSE YOU MEN THAT HELPED ME GET GOING ON SATURDAY .ALL WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.

I checked in online for my self-pick up, went to pick up my truck, and I was told they cancelled my order because I was late. I was given a bad attitude and minimal help, and I had to call UHaul and find an alternative option. My movers left, and I had to hire on the fly movers for more money. It was a total mess, and no one seemed even remotely apologetic. I didn't even get an email or text cancellation, and I was just left to fend for myself.

The truck was a bit dirty. The interior of the windshield appeared to have had some beverage have spewed on it? Like having a hot cup of coffee an the dash and it sprayed up on the windshield when the truck passed over a big bump or hole. The cup holders had what looked like remnants of some kind of nuts in them.

20' truck is a very strong running truck and easier to handle than the 26'. I would rent it again. Very pleased with my 600 mi. trip. Busy location and everyone was working hard to keep up with the demands of the job. Thanks for making the moving experience a bit easier.

No enough parking I have had (8) uhaul pods for 9 months. I rented 1 Way 26 foot truck. Steering at a stop would not turn. Brakes with the load was sketchy at best. With 177,000 miles on it waited almost an hour to checked out. Now I have 2 u-haul storage 10X15 That being said. Business severely under staffed. And each time I went in to a store it's a wait of 35 min to 1 hour to get out. Today I dropped my rental in Portland. The guy was so busy he couldn't even look at my truck. Said park it over there and I'll get to it later. Then you charged me $25.00 cleaning fee. I was out to 10 pm cleaning it last night. I don't appreciate you stealing money from me. I'm sure it's a commission type thingm I have given thousands to u-haul. No more. You got me for 25.00 but that will cost you thousands in revenue. Good bye Uhaul.

No improvement recommended. The American Red Cross was able to maintain its emergency vehicles in the fire areas because your U-HAUL Van served as an excellent tool truck for our mechanics: it operated perfectly, reliably and with functionality.

The lady that was working their was extremely rude to me and unhelpful. I was scheduled to have a cargo van pick up there and it wasn't, and she made me feel like I was a huge inconveience. She sent me to another location which was 10 miles away which added miles to my trip. And then the guy at the other location was rude as well... I won't be using UHAUL again, and will let everyone know not to use those locations. Luckily a lady helped me in the customer service and gave me a $10 credit which was nice, should have been more..

update the padlocks used, because they were old, and rusty, and I had a very difficult time rotating the letters for the combination, and opening the lock itself once I had everything lined up. also, maybe some signs that say "after hours customer parking" or something, because I had no idea if my car was ok to leave in the lot, once I was able to retrieve the key for the truck.

This is the 3rd time in 3 months that I have rented from Uhaul and they have not had the equipment available that I reserved online. They refuse to honor the $50 guarantee and I always end up spending more than I plan for different equipment.

Good experience. I struggled with the app when I returned the vehicle after hours but someone helped me check it back in next morning. Overall it was an easy rental that I was able to manage at the last minute, 30 minutes before closing time. Thank you!

Although the location was a bit cramped, the staff made up for the experience. Darion was extremely helpful, going out of his way to assure our load was securely in place, particularly when the store was busy. Very clean with social distancing and staff wearing masks appropriately.

Checkin person - wasn't attentive - stood at the counter for quite awhile before being waited on, he wasn't friendly or even customer service oriented. When I returned , no one came to greet me or even check me in, then I get an invoice for over $50 more than what I had paid. Not at all happy and don't want to use this location anymore!!

Completely lacking customer service. When I walked in one of the employees wasn't wearing a mask while working behind the counter. I mean come on, this is not the time for an employee to be acting like that. We are in a global pandemic. There was another employee behind the front counter as well who was masked. When I came back to drop off the U-Haul, the markings are very confusing as they've been painted over multiple times and the sign overhead indicates that there's two lanes with two arrows pointing down. I pulled into what I thought was the second lane behind a trailer but what I couldn't see was that there was an employee in front of the trailer trying to push it back to connect to another vehicle. I had to honk the horn so he wouldn't run into the U-Haul and then he proceeded to tell at me that I needed to back up which was nearly impossible as I'm not a professional truck driver and it was a very tight space. After a few more heated words I let him know I wasn't going to deal with it and I had to get back to work. It was just a very surprising experience on both pickup and drop off and I can't say I would recommend this location.

First make sure the truck is cleaned out on the inside it doesn't have a spilled soda and so the containers find the seat. second wipe off the dried blood off the driver's seat and the two drops on the passenger seat. (We thought it was chocolate at first). Second, you can't take people's word and/or pictures at certain angles and then rent the truck to people without checking it yourselves. Extremely unprofessional. The gas tank was not full, was 1/8 of a tank empty. Also there was no dolly in the back of the truck that I ordered. When checking out the truck on the app, I'd ask you if it's clean or dirty. Every time I'd hit dirty and take a picture and then try to go the next screen, it wouldn't let me, and say you need to upload the picture. Unfortunately there's no option up of the picture. We tried over and over and over. Your app does not work well and/or at all in some aspects. we had 8 hours of the truck and an 8-hour drive ahead of us to make our check-in time. So waiting for the U-Haul to open WAS NOT AN OPTION. I basically just had to click yes everything was great to get the truck. What a scam. In regards to the dolly, try moving at 250 lb safe without one. Not possible. So at 6:00 a.m. and not the best part of Portland, we had to scour all the other U-Haul trucks opening them up to find a dolly. there wasn't even a place to attach the dolly inside the truck, there are always is. It was fun cleaning up the dry blood and paying for the gas that was supposed to be in the truck.

This unit was not usable. We rented it without seeing it due to an emergency situation and arrived to see a unit that was a “stack unit” that I do not feel was adequately described on the website. We had to cancel our rental that same day and rent a unit at a different storage facility. Everyone at U-Haul was nice, though.

I made a reservation through the app. Then I received a phone call from someone that informed me that they didn't have the trailer that I requested, but that they would change my pickup location to one that wasn't too far. When I showed up to get my trailer they informed me that they didn't have any trailers and that there was no reservation for me. They helped me figure out where my trailer was and it was at a location that was much further than I would have liked to travel. After driving 20 minutes, I arrive at the location that has my trailer and reservation. After they hooked up the trailer I noticed that there was a lot of bark dust and garbage in the trailer. Not a great experience

The 'self-check in' process was a very poor experience. It took 20 minutes once I finished submitting my information, and then I was required to go to the counter to pick up the key. The whole point was to avoid physical interaction but instead the process took 4x as long as if I had just gone directly to the counter. So disappointing.

This was the SECOND location I had to go to get my reservation. First, I went to my scheduled spot to get my reserved truck using the mobile app. I had confirmation emails from U-Haul that I could pick it up by 8am using the app. When I arrived on site, the app and website would NOT let me pick up my reservation saying that I had to return at 9am when they opened. When I did return at 9am, the truck I reserved was not yet returned so they had to refer me to the location on Sandy. My truck reeked of the smell of marijuana. Not surprised when I returned the truck to find someone that I think was an employee sitting outside the return area smoking a joint. I'm all for legalization, but this was highly unprofessional and concerning if I had been pulled over. If U-haul wasn't the only game in town, I would have rented a truck elsewhere.

There was a problem with the backdoor not taking the recommended lock: I had to return to the location and "prove" to the employee that the lock did not fit... he sold me a second type that did work. It cost me the purchase of a second lock, mileage, and gas to travel to and from to fix the problem. Not happy with that... But it was a mechanical issue not an employee issue.

The only issue I had was when I went to pick up the trailer that I had reserved, the employee said, "you're in luck, we have it." There was no luck. It was just U-haul providing the service that they agreed to provide.

We had a Uhaul trailer reserved in Clackamas. We were told it was given away, which meant we could not leave on our desired date. We also didn't receive the $50 refund. We then had it rescheduled for us the next day at 8am, however that was cancelled and the next pickup was at 2pm. This was in Hillsboro, 45 mins from our place. We ordered an adapter and a ball, which was set for pick up in happy valley. These two locations are about an hour from each other. We finally got through and had to pick one up at the Sandy location, last minute. The uhaul door would repeatedly get stuck, which meant there were many times we had to maneuver the latch down, risking bloodied fingers. The customer service rep we spoke two was incredibly sarcastic in tone, and seemed agitated. Very poor experience. 1 Star.

2nd time I have used this location in a month. It is close and convenient. Customer Service wasn't as good as last time but still good. Making my reservation I had to wait for the phone ringing until my service said no one was answering, The 2nd call I was in hold for approximately 22 minutes. Not really exceptable but I know things aren't really business as usual during the pandemic.

Derrin was really helpful and nice. He gave me quick service and even helped me adjust my seat height with pleasure when it got stuck before I pulled off. Will visit this store again for my u-haul or storage needs

Not enough people to check in...I arrived at 7 :00 am but didnt get off the lot until 7:30 due to only 1 person working who was running the counter, and who also had to move other rental vehicles out of the way before I could leave the lot. I then had to return to the lot after leaving because I was missing 1 of the 2 handtrucks.

I could not be happier with my experience at this UHAUL location. Everything explained clearly and they were quite patient with me as I was very tired after arriving from out of state and moving in 90+ degree weather. I was disappointed when my reservation was for a unit that required going up stairs. Zachary was able to seamlessly check the inventory and change my storage space to the ground level. My phone was not working and I could not call a car service after my move and Zachary offered calling a cab. A great customer service experience all around!
