I have driven these trucks before and have never experienced what felt like an unsafe vehicle before. The suspension was non existent and the engine revved hard whenever one eased up on the gas peddle or when the automatic transimission was shifted down from 40 to 30 or lower. Driving this vehicle was pretty much a terrifying experience for me all day. I informed staff and he knocked $10 off the gas refill charge. I told him I didn't want to drive it a minute longer than possible. The particular vehicle I had should be serviced immediately.KATHERINE P.

Truck was out of gas. Browser wouldn't allow photo upload and I was in a hurry so I couldn't dispute it on the front side. I was out an extra $30 in fuel and inconvenienced by the truck being empty. I realize it was siphoned, but increase security on site or get a more seamless app. Truck was junky. Slow to shift and accelerate. I wish I would have went to a different location in a nicer neighborhood.STEPHEN H.

I was overcharged by $45, as someone made a mistake when documenting how many miles I drove. I tried to get in touch with the the location a few times, but either no one picked up, or the manager David wasn't available - it was a little frustrating. When I called the customer service line though, the call back feature was excellent, and I was also able to get help from a fantastic representative - Leslie Nickles. She really took the time to figure it out, and was so pleasant to work with - I truly appreciated her! Her kindness and professionalism really turned this negative experience into a positive one. The available storage possesses hazardous access and unstable equipment to load personal items. I would not recommend this type of storage if seen in person. Pricing is high, particularly in relation to the type of building and storage provided. Overall, the staff was quite friendly, but the building, storage, and parking is subpar.Charles K. | First Impressions

I picked up a truck that had a cut fuel line and had to return it. (I thought it was rather fishy that I was starting out with a truck that only had a quarter of a tank of gas, usually they're at least 3/4s full if not more.) Unfortunately our neighborhood isn't the safest and vehicle or theft and tampering is pretty common here. In general my experiences have been good and I use this location regularly.Amy Q.

The young men in the yard were very pleasant and helpful, looking out for my best interest. Everything was accomplished in a timely manner. I cancelled this contract two weeks into signing on; never used the building at all and yet I was still charged and given a late fee. I then called back and was told that I couldn’t cancel over the phone… even though a U-haul employee clearly cancelled it over the phone with me.David H. | Overall Experience

Tried to return the equipment after hours, the website wouldn't read my location, each time I called customer service the wait time was over an hour, finally had to call the accident hotline in order to get any help. First I was told that there was no van since it had been overbooked. Then I was given a van since someone else was late picking it up. Then I was given a van with a gas gauge on empty and when I questioned it was told that my contract, which said it was 1/2 full would let me know how to return it and that I had enough gas to make it to a gas station. It took an entire hour to actually be on the road and then I had to get gas. When I returned it I was told to give my key to the guy in the yard who was busy, not with a customer, but checking out inventory so returning took 20 minutes.LAVONA T.
Vehicle was not at location promised. Vehicle we got at a much further location has gas cap off and was empty - they had us drive it anyway uninspected. Gas tank had also been punctured as we found out when we had to fill it. Had to return it driving unsafe vehicle. Given another truck that also had its gas siphoned so had to stop immediately to fill (made them check for puncture before we drove it. Wasted 2 hours of our time and have not been compensated. I will absolutely NEVER come to this location, nor recommend it to anyone else. I have used u-haul quite a bit over the years, but this location is most definitely run by some scammers or something. There is NO way that my $49 reservation should be anywhere CLOSE to the EXTRA $100+ they are trying to charge me. Absolutely abhorrent business practices from this location.JUAN F.

The first truck given to me had the fuel line cut, this was not discovered until I reached the gas station after renting the truck. Returned to store and was given a replacement truck. Everyone was very professional, apologetic and friendly, the staff were great in that regard. I was given a replacement truck, but the staff put the wrong information in the system so I had a different truck than the one I said I had rented. This became an issue when returning the truck later on in the day trying to use the online return feature. The online feature would not allow me to return the truck because the odometer was so off (since I had a completely different truck than the one they said I had in the system, verified with customer service) Overall, it got the job done, but multiple hassles. I dont blame the staff at this location, Uhaul should develop a better security system/program to prevent break ins and fuel line syphons. Also develop a fuel line check as part of the process before allowing the truck to leave the lot. I am glad that I was able to return to the lot without incident or accident after discovering that the fuel had been tampered with.Andrew D.

The steering wheel was out of position and the speedometer could not be viewed as it was being driven straight down the road. it was not clear how much fuel i needed to make it to my destination, so I ended up leaving about 1/2 tank in truck ! an extra cost to me.ANNE C.

I ordered my hitch online from uhaul on October 8th for installation on October 20th. I received a call on the 19th saying the parts werent in. After numerous phone calls I found out the part had been in Vancouver since October 13th. We had to contact Fedex, track down the package. Finally on October 22nd they were able to get it Installed. I picked up at 7ish, thought being was 2 day would return at 7. I was there right at 7 guy was outside, walked inside for minute then came back to lock door. I said didn't have phone to check in mobile. And it would take short time to help me or could wave drop fee. Come to find out return was set for 6pm so they also charged extra day. I've used uhaul a lot and spend lots of money to be handled this way. I would never want someone running my business this way!! I request being credited appropriately! KristyKristy G.

Does this contract say that we had 1/4 tank upon pickup? My husband thought that someone syphoned gas from the tank and only left 1/4 tank. He spent $120 to return the truck full. We drove it a couple miles from the pick up a couple miles back. A credit for that gas would be greatSteve P.

It's amazing how a good experience can be destroyed by the smallest thing. I was given the truck with a tank slightly less than 1/2 full. I brought it back with the same amount of gas. (I wish I could attach pictures of the fuel gauge for you to see the two pics). When I got my receipt, I was charged for added fuel. Sticking it to the customer doesn't create loyalty. It does the opposite. When someone feels victimize, they go to lengths to reciprocate.Michael P.

Staff and facility are great. What was appallingly bad was my experience with your website. I made a reservation online and received email confirmation, but your staff could find nothing about me on the store computers. My account had vanished. Total waste of time and very stressful.
