The keypads to get in the unit are hit or miss if they let you in/unlock even with your correct info. The entrance is very cluttered with other people belongings. Blocks the door and use of carts to move in and out for multiple days of people just leaving stuff there . To the point some people had to leave because they couldn't get there stuff inside.

Nick Eldridge was such a lifesaver for switching my monthly rent for a truck to help me with my sudden new apartment. He said the leftover from the truck rental would be put back into my bank account and it hasn't, but I'm just happy I got to move into my new home with little to no issues thanks to U-Haul and Nick 🫶🏼

I didn't visit often, but every time I was there the staff were always very easygoing and helpful. Despite the issue with transients in the area, the facility was kept clean and secure. I never worried about the security of my unit. Thank you for a great experience!

The college box program was an excellent way for us to have items ready to go for our son’s move-in. Having the ability to ship everything he needed for his dorm room and have it waiting for us when we arrived by flight was an amazing experience. Thank you to all of the staff at U-Haul Bangor Washington Street for ensuring we had a seamless experience. From the proactive communication when packages arrived, to helping us understand how to access the facility, everything was great. It gave peace of mind to this family who is 15 hours away!

It appears they are renting to homeless drug addicts which made it very uncomfortable for accessing my unit and I did not feel safe. I found needle caps in the hall and then reported it to the manager Nick who responded he would check the camera 's. I took photos of it with my phone. They had cut the lock of my unit "due to flooding" and never contacted me regarding the event. Although they could send me a letter for non payment multiple times in a short time frame threatening a lien.This experience made it easy to decide to never do any further business with the company. I spent thousands of dollars in multiple unit storing my deceased parents items while I managed their estate. This made a sad time more stressful.

Had to store some of my daughter’s college things for a few months until she started school. This place clean and very well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Will be storing her things there for the summer as well!

the experience was seamless. The gentleman at the counter was extremely helpful and took the time to walk me through the entry process and walked me to my locker. Showed me how to lock the door properly. Was very nice. Place was clean and looked well maintained.

I was renting a unit (1702) for years. The unit flooded bc of a water pipe leak and I lost A LOT!!!!! I had insurance but was only offered the 1k policy. I wasn’t aware there was another higher coverage option. However, the staff helped me with throwing out priceless items and told me not to contact the city of Bangor until THEY (U-Haul) filed their claim. I was told MANY LIES!!! 1.). I would be contacted after a suit was filed 2.). I would get a smaller unit and the staff would help me move the remaining property I had 3.). My monthly payment would go down and finally, LIE #4 was being told that NOBODY had said any of the above!!!! My friend was with me and can confirm EVERYTHING I just stated. I’m extremely disappointed with this and to add more insult, my monthly bill went up $10/month and I have NO CLUE WHY!!!!

The point of storage is keeping your things safe. Our things were ruined by a flood, then infested with insects and then got wet AGAIN! And they won’t cut off locks and make you try to get a locksmith come do it for you, which is practically impossible in Bangor. We moved to a different facility.

My storage unit repeatedly didn’t lock, and I found it unlocked twice after asking a staff to close it. When the facility flooded, my belongings including precious family hand knit sweaters, I was not notified and found out my unit was directly across from the burst pipe from an employee who laughed and said “there’s no way it didn’t flood”. Further more, throughout my time working with the employees at this facility, they would make sec jokes, joke about drugs, and were not properly trained, or at least appeared to be based on the long wait times and the numerous times there would be no employees in the store when I needed assistance. 100% would never go back to this .facility and would never recommend it unless you want to deal with rude, ignorant employees.

The flooding was poorly handled and the manager didn’t know much. People got in my unit and just threw things out, I will never know just all that is gone. I received a measly sum for what got destroyed. I was not given an opportunity to review my possessions before thrown. Locks were changed without consent or customer knowledge. Main entrance needs light bulb replaced, hard to see to gain entrance, staff is not knowledgeable of what’s going on in the building as well as the manager. Staff are hard to find and not all too friendly. I prefer to use the odlin rd facility in the future, that facility is much better as well as having a place to put things that you do not want so somebody might want it. I have so much missing and damaged from my unit that wasn’t included in the insurance payment, like pioneer woman glassware and fake books that were filled with momentous. I wasn’t given an opportunity to claim my possessions, they were damaged or thrown out. The manager knew nothing of what was going on in her building! I did not have a good experience with the Washington st facility, I will use another in the future. Corporate and repwest need better customer service skills as well as communication skills. I shall never use Uhaul ever again. Oh they even changed locks without telling the customers and so much thing’s missing. Everyone across the board needs to do better!

Having been a customer in the past, I did a search to see what pricing was at all of the facilities in the Bangor area. I obviously looked at the wrong building when I searched for Uhaul, because the price was more than another place…so, I decided to go with the other facility. The other one has zero security…anyone can enter the storage area when the doors are unlocked! After thinking about my decision, I looked at Uhaul again and saw that I could get the same size room for $20 less, didn’t even notice what the security measures were…until yesterday. I went in, and after a hiccup of my own stupidity, the process was quick and easy…Heidi is awesome! One of the employees showed me how to access my storage room, which was a good thing or I’d have been totally confused! The security measures are amazing, nobody gets into the storage area without proper access! All rooms have a “critter deterrent” box, and I was assured that they’ve not had any issues, but they use them just in case. Oh, if that’s not enough, you can pull into the garage bays to load/unload…no worries about what the weather might be! I highly recommend Uhaul!!!

Very nice and helpful folks working here. Knowledgeable about their services and very accommodating. I used their Self- Storage, climate controlled unit for 16 months and was extremely pleased with the ease of moving in and out of the facility. VERY CLEAN and I would definitely recommend this facility and the people working here. I will use their services again, should the need arise!

This facility is outstandingly well managed. Heidi and the staff are helpful and easy to deal with. It’s squeaky clean. There’s plenty of parking. They cooperated well with my movers. You can drive a truck inside to load/unload in bad weather. Excellent. ThAnk you.

Well worth the money!! Very clean, climate-controlled, drinking fountain (a plus) and bathroom... too many things to list. I would definitely get my storage from uhaul in the future and recommend uhaul to my friends and family.

Very convenient. Helpful staff. My only complaint is your computer system seems to be down frequently. When initially opening unit computer was down and when closing unit computer was down. A bit inconvenient but otherwise very satisfied.

Everything went smoothly thanks to Heidi's assistance. We were showed and explained everything and she even took time to help with a bigger unit. I feel safe leaving my things there with someone who cares enough about the customer to make sure they are comfortable with every aspect of the rental.

Thought the rep said that we were going to qualify for a free month's rental but when I paid the bill I was told we didn't qualify, so that was an unexpected disappointment. Guess I should have clarified it before I signed the paperwork. Service was excellent otherwise.

They have little carts so you don’t have to carry your heavy stuff all the way to your unit which is very convenient.

After calling and being on phone for 30+ minutes, I was told this facility was "not maned" & rented the unit online.....had no prior experience with renting a unit....was not aware an access key would be needed....what a fiasco
