Unfortunately, I don't remember his name but the young man working in the office/store was excellent. He was very calm, professional and thorough. It was quite busy during truck return and he was able to efficiently work through this without seeming rushed. He has and excellent memory as was waiting outside for help returning my truck and he remembered me from the morning to let the outside worker know that I he had my checked in with my truck without me interacting with him while he was still helping a long line of people inside. The men working outside were also very busy and working hard on a very hot day. Kudos to all of them. I know this is a tough time to hire reliable help and I imagine staffing was less that what would be ideal for that reason. Please give them my regards for a job well done.AMY JANE H.

Previously, I have had long, frustrating waits at this location even when using online check-in. This time was different. Even though the owner was training a new employee and it took a bit longer than if she had been fully trained, they were efficient and I have no problem with someone learning on the job. The trailer was immediately ready for me and the gentleman who hooked it up was efficient, thorough, and kind during the process. Similarly, it was chaos when I returned the trailer with so many other returns and yet, the gentleman in the yard who got to me was quick about getting me unhooked and on my way without a lot of red tape which I appreciated. good people; choatic site and re-direct from U-Haul corporate. Bad on you, not good folks at N Bend store. Contract specifically said, return to N Bend store. U-Haul sent text re-directing me to other Bend store. Unaccetpable! My last gas run and appliance run all se to fit N store. N store in terrible shape. Took way too long. I stood in line, waiting, WRONG line! Guy in yard too busy, told me to use URL posted on sign. That didn't work! Because UHaul redirected me. Matthew Foote is way over worked but fixed the problem. Give credit to M. Foote for making this customer happy. Don't put a return location on the printed contract, then charge me MORE when I return to that location. The UHaul web services and phone support are very good. Once a trained staff at a location has the okay to work on my issue, it's great. What stunk is the process and beauracracy imposed on the Bend site and the UHaul redirect from corporate. It would have been perfect rental until then. The value was good and 30 mins wasted at the drop off was not that bad but take you from 5 to 4 stars on yelp.Scott D.

The location is good and the people were nice and helpful. The app tried to cheat me twice. It was going to charge me $30 for gas even when the amount I recorded was higher when I returned the truck and the pictures showed it AND the amount driven was 13 miles. It also had lower total mileage on the app than the truck showed. I corrected this in the app but it still charged me for the extra. It certainly seems U-Haul is trying to cheat customers.JOHN N.

I'm giving this a 5-star due to the fact that an issue I had was not related to this facility but to U-Haul itself. Conversely, this location identified the issue immediately, looked underneath and saw the inadequate patch job. We paid $30 to fill up the tank to the original level but the leak made that impossible. I would appreciate some attention to this and some funds returned to me - at least some gas money...GEOFFREY G.
The self check-in experience did not work. I then had to wait in line and re-enter submit information I had already provided. Further once i was manually checked in and he said I was ready to go, they had not loaded my appliance dolly into the truck yet. The associate mentioned the gate was difficult to close, but didn't look close enough to realize that the mechanism was off track and thus causing the issue.TYLER JAMES F.
Hi I actually didn't end up using the unit and called u-haul less than 24 hrs later to cancel. The help line said to go to the store and they can refund you if you hadn't used it yet. That worked out fine but I was still charged 9.95 for a lock that I never received? I'm not sure if the lock was already attached to the unit because I never went to unit itself. All I know is I have a charge for a lock that was never given to me. I would please like a refund or lock, either way is fine. Thank you and have a great day. Dropped off trailer, staff was very busy & multi-tasking, said return scanned in & would email return confirmation later that day. Email never came, & location doesn't answer its phone. When I called Nat'l office was told no record of trailer being returned. I had to drive 50 miles the next day to appear in person & insist they document my return (trailer still sitting in lot). Very dissatisfied, & don't how I would have resolved without going back in person (I actually live 200 miles away from location.)Sam P.

This specific location was fine. The overall u-haul experience however gets a 1 star. Your website is terrible. It's glitchy, does not give accurate information, and won't allow resetting a password, making online check-in impossible. When I call the 800 number, my average on hold time is 23 minutes plus, each and every time. Your customer service is terrible. When I try to reserve on line, I am told no trailers are available, but if I call a specific location, every time trailers ARE available. This location gets 4 stars but uhaul overall gets 1 star at best. I don't know how you can run a business the way you do and still be aroumdGabe B.
Understaffed to the extreme. After waiting for 30 minutes, I connected the 6x12 cargo trailer to my truck on my own and found a yard guy to take the picture of the hookup. Same problem on return.CLIFFORD K.

It was incredibly disorganized. I waited outside to pick up since I did everything online including payment. Then I was told I had to go inside still...I waited in line for over an hour even though I did your online check in. Had to reswipe my card even though you already had that. Then I had to go back outside and try to find someone. Absolutely no room to maneuver my vehicle once they hooked up the trailer. You advertise a cheaper price in the store....misleading! I will not recommend to anyone. I was never notified that my requested location would not be able to accommodate my truck rental. So instead of getting the truck less than 1 mile from my home, I had to drive farther north, adding miles to the cost of my rental. Then, upon my arrival at the location of the truck, I had to wait in line for an hour. This is not an exaggeration, I waited in line for an hour for my RESERVED truck. Absolutely terrible experience, I will seek out a different truck rental company in the future. Even your own employees say that you understaffed and refuse to upgrade your computer system which is unfair to them, as they have to deal with the disgruntled customers. My customer service person ( Do not know his name ) was very rude , when I went in to the Bend Oregon office Friday 5-21-21 to reserve he was rude and very short. When I came back in Tuesday 5-25-21 to pick up the cube van he again was very rude and felt he was belittling me , I had to stop him and explain to him he should be nice to people , especially being that he is in customer service , I was very mad , we had just had a very tragic family situation and I had to get from Bend to Washington immediately , drop the u haul in Washington and dive a family vehicle back . I explained to him he should be nice to everyone as you never know what someone is going thru emotionally and I was indeed on the emotional edge more than I have ever been , I had some bad thoughts going thru my mind and if I could have found another quick way to my family emergency I may have pulled him out from behind the counter and beat him , I am not that kind of person but I was suffering some serious trauma , he is a lucky man and I was very hurt and unhappy with the whole thing . All this being said someone should have a serious talk with him , wish I would have got his name but I was so on the edge all I could do was get out of there , I am sure you can find out who he is.CRAIG GINDRA B.

Extremely confusing experience. I have an email confirming a haul rental and storage unit. When I arrived I was told there were no storage units available and there was no record of my reservation. I showed her my reservation email and then was told that yes I had a reservation but yesterday it was canceled and they don't know why (I never received a call or email about this cancellation). No apology or any more explanation. This took one hour which I was still charged for. My uhaul rental was to move belongings to a storage locker so without a locker there was not any need for a uhaul. I then had to spend the next hour trying to find another storage locker while I still had the uhaul. Luckily I was able to but there were two stressful hours where I paid for a uhaul and was focused on a storage locker. The front desk gal was not helpful, horrible customer service, no apology or real explanation, and no compensation or understanding of wasted time.ISSAK S.

I had the greatest experience with the gentlemen who were running the very busy day. They were all very knowledgeable, fast & helpful. We had the pleasure of working closely with William in getting the reservation & contract completed. He is amazing! He deserves special recognition for how fast, patient and helpful he is. He worked outside with us to get the trailer hitched & was equally efficient and knowledgeable. You could start by getting trucks back to Oregon , got a truck for Florida in January for 2700 now I'm getting one and a couple days for 6700. If I wanted one in February of next year it will cost 9600. I move people for a living and I use you all to do it, but I guess there's no point in bringing trucks back to Oregon if you can just rape people for those prices huhcoby K.

It was difficult to reserve the equipment needed online. I wanted a 5x8 trailer for a one way trip but all that seemed available locally was 4x8 trailers. I visited this pick up location two days before my rental date and found that there was actually an excess of 5x8 trailers, and I could reserve exactly what I wanted at this nearby location. The U-Haul online reservation needs improvement. Otherwise, the 5x8 trailer was in great shape and worked well for my trip.Rosalie B.

My storage unit was broken. Told them & still never was fixed properly. Someone could’ve just pushed in the rolling door. Finally just closed it out after a few months of this. I almost was not able to get the size storage unit I reserved a month ago. There were 5 different people on the list for the same size (5x10) and there was only one unit available. I just so happened to be the first to check in. Now the other 4 people will not get the unit they reserved. This system makes no sense. Why would u-haul let you reserve a storage unit and then not have any available?? The system should show when units will be available and only allow you to reserve accordingly. This was in part due several of the transactions walk-in transactions with little prep, research, or pre-registration done. Was easy to get storage the same day. Was the only place that was open and easy to deal with on a Sunday. No contracts so it was easy to close our account once the storage was emptied out too. The only thing I would recommend is making the website a little more user friendly for online pay. This was the only bill I have had to call and pay over phone every month because the website wouldn't do what I needed and then I didn't trust it to take my payment and apply it correctly. I use apps, phones, electronic payments and all those things all the time so I am not technology illiterate.
