Unfortunately, my experience with this Store, in Hillsboro, did not wend well. I felt I was abused and bullied by the store manager. When signing paper work I received instructions from the store manager where to park the moving truck, I was told to park it at a certain spot, but she never mentioned anything about a sign to avoid blocking the way to the back of the parking lot. I was supposed to bring the truck at or before 11 pm, I brought it back around 10:45 pm, it was dark, I did not see any sign about not blocking the driveway to the back of the park, I just follow the instructions to the letter as to where I was told to park it. However, I was charged $100 plus an additional day, even when I only followed instructions and brought it back 30-15 before deadline. I went back to the store the next Monday morning, I spoke to the lady working as store manager, same lady who gave me all instructions the Saturday when I signed for it. She was screaming at me at the top of her lungs, she was completely out of her place belittling me as a customer, I told her I was done with that discussion and decided to walked away from a bulling situation from her, she continued to scream extremely loudly all the way at me, until I walked out of the store, this was by far the most humiliating and the most bulling experience I had ever been through as a customer form a store manager. I cannot believe this person works as a store manager, what an unbelievable way to disregard the importance of a customer and his claim. I only followed instructions by the letter, she overcharged me for not seeing a sign at 10:30-10:45 at night, and the also charged me for one more day, per contract I was supposed to deliver this truck before 11pm, which I did, and all of this is beyond ridiculous. Furthermore, I have already spoken to an attorney, we are working on submitting a special letter to this store regarding this situation, they should receive it with in 5-10 business days. There were only 4 furniture pads in the truck but was charged for 1/2 dozen. Got a 15' truck with over 137k miles, barely accelerates and gave 2.5 miles per gallon. So, better checks on rental items and better serviced vehicles.MACHARA KRISHNA M.

U-Box container has been DELAYED consistently without any emails or messages or any kind of communication from U-haul regarding the shipment. I have Self delivered the box at MI location on 07/28 and the promised Delivery date at Portland, OR was on 08/18. However, the actual delivery happened on 08/23 and the moving help assigned were FAKE which has potentially delayed the Moving by 3 more days. Uhaul has successfully cheated me and gave me no information and he just reimbursed me with $250 for just 5 days wherein the delay was 10 days from the actual promised delivery date (the movers were not from uhaul but isn't the responsibility of Uhaul to link GENUINE and TRUSTWORTHY movers in the first place????) â€” Please remove the Shipping service if you Can't handle it!!!RICHARD O.

I rented a vehicle on Saturday, August 14 around 9:30am and returned it approximately 2pm the same day. On Sunday, August 15 I received a phone message from the Hillsboro U-Haul inquiring when I was planning on returning the vehicle. I called the number he left and was sent to the corporate number. I asked to be transferred to the local office and was again sent to the corporate number. I drove to the U-Haul location and, there immediately outside of side door was the same-numbered U-Haul truck I had rented the day before. All ANYONE had to do was look outside and the truck was sitting there. Instead, I wasted over an hour of my day dealing with ineptitude.Clint Q.

Our whole experience with Uhaul was just not great. We setup an appointment via the website for a week out. The day before our appointment, we get a cancelation call and they can't see us until 2 weeks later - we can't accomodate this in our schedule. The store employees were nice enough to get us in the next day. We went in stating that we needed our ball to measure 18" off the ground, we were very specific. The employee handed us the parts and we were on our way. We trusted that this was measured and we had the correct part - we should NOT have trusted at all. The ball was only 15" high and was right against our bumper - and at this point we're needing to get out of town ASAP to pickup what we would be hauling. We go back to the store, another employee is helping us and we figure out we need a different part - already out of our way to get what we specifically asked for. This Uhaul doesn't have the part and the employee offers to us to return what we have so we do. We go to the Uhaul with the correct part to get our ball to be 18" off the ground - but they do not have 2" balls and we've just returned the ball we originally purchased. Then we drive to Napa to get the ball that we need. An extra hour and a half later after our original issues. The employees are nice, but the debacle we had to go through when Uhaul boasts "Right Hitch, Right Now" is laughable for everything we had to do. I would recommend to anyone else to find another company that installs hitches and pay out the nose than to get their hitch at Uhaul and have to go through what we went through.Kyle W.

The person at the desk did not tell me how to use the alarm system, so it set off. Then when I went back to the office to ask about it, she didn’t seem to have any concern that one went off, which seems like the whole reason for the alarms. This is my first storage unit experience. My only real problem was at checkout. The only person working was out doing something with propane. There should be a number to call or a sign or something to contact whoever is working. I waited over 10 minutes, 4 other customers showed up behind me, one of them left.
