There isn't enough space for after-hours drops in the drop-off line. When I dropped off my trailer in the morning, the driveway to the back was completely blocked by dropped-off trucks. The dropoff procedure wasn't very clear - when I arrived at 9am to return the truck, there was a line of trucks waiting to be processed so I waited in line behind them. Once I was able to pull into the return area, I waited for quite a while for a staff member to come and process the return but no one did. Finally a staff member walking by asked if I needed help and I said I was waiting to return the truck and he said "if the keys are in it, you're good to go". In the past, I've always had a staff member process the return and let me know my total cost before I left. Would have been nice to know about the return procedure in advance so that I didn't stand there waiting for no reason.KATHERINE J.

I rented the truck for 21 total of 24 hrs and was told they would not be at the store when I returned the teuck as it was on a Sunday and they closed at 4 PM my drop off time was at 5:30 total of 24 hours and was charged for two days instead of the one day doubling all my costs! When I called the store they told me they would not charge me for a second day even if I drop the truck off at 9:45 in the evening. I called customer service they said they would have someone call me and talk to me about the situation and Wendy assistant manager called me back from the Hillsboro location â€œMeganâ€ he informed me that she would not look into the situation and that it was against their policy to give me that information. The fact is I did get that information from one of her employees and I was told they would not be charged a second day and they will not do anything to take care of it! This is a bad customer service! Send something to a consumer just to appease them and not follow through is very manipulative and not acceptable!JUDY J.

When we returned the equipment early, we were not automatically given the refund. I had to contact UHaul to ask for a refund. While the refund was immediately processed, it was annoying to have to spend time on something that should have been handled by the store.Rachel T.

Filled tank to what was requested and from the trip to the gas station to the drop off location (which was right next door) the gauge dropped and they wanted to charge me about 28 dollars for gas pumped from their own station. Get more employees and new management at this location. The current staff is not enough for the demand that the location has. Also, I made a reservation for a trailer and checked in online but I still had to wait in line to get the trailer. I was supposed to pick up the trailer at 9am but due to the long line and short staff, I was unable to leave with my trailer until 10:30am. This is unacceptable and very frustrating!!!!Jesse M.

But let's talk about your call center. When attempting to call the store, you are rerouted to a call center. After a 5 minute hold and extensive research, I was told that there were no dollies or trailers available in 100 mile radius. On that day as we were about finishing wrapping up with our 2nd U haul truck rental process, I'd asked/mentioned we received a free storage rental coupon 2 days prior when we'd rented another 10' U-haul truck from them and received a coupon for a free rent coupon and wanted to know if he could check to see if there was one available he said he would but that he was new and had to go get Amber to take care of this for us Amber came in asked her to look into it said she would, after she was done with the rental part , anyway when we were done with process she said she had to take care of something she'd let us know after we did vehicle check she will hve info' on this for us, waited long enough as then I decided she was to bust and so we left still didn't find out anything about storage I felt overall our customer service experience was fair, only due to the fact that good/great customer service is #1 is to work and satisfy her regular customers that she was working with clearly we are her customers but we recognized or seem to not be as much of importance to thoroughly answer all of questions before bolting out to assist others, looked as tho she was obligated to take care of them 1st rather then complete the simple task of checking to see on storage unit for us wasn't important to please us completely!Misty G.

One of the clerks in the store could not help with a check-out issue; the manager had to do it. When I checked in, I pointed out that they "owed" me a mile, as paperwork said the mileage was 10411, but when I started the truck it was 10412. The check-in clerk said he had credited me, but the emailed statement showed he did not. It's not the $.89; it's that he said he understoo, that he would credit my agreement, and then did not do it. Location has limited space and difficult to maneuver large truck in lot. Also, reservation stated return date (not time). I assumed this to mean I could return any time that day. Once rental started, I discovered it was strictly 48 hours. Reservation process should be more clear that rental is for 48 hours. The trailer I rented had multiple cigarette butts inside and I had to ask to have them removed. The younger employee that was hooking up the trailer was very courteous and apologetic but his coworker, who was smoking a cigarette, was rude and sexist towards females. Upon return of my rental trailer, I was happy that the younger gentleman employee was working and he made returning the trailer comfortable (would have been a one star rating if it wasn't for this nice employee).Clarence N.

This is my first storage unit experience. My only real problem was at checkout. The only person working was out doing something with propane. There should be a number to call or a sign or something to contact whoever is working. I waited over 10 minutes, 4 other customers showed up behind me, one of them left.
