Listen to the customers better! I made a reservation for a 15ft U-Haul. My husband went into the store and said my wife Jana Stevens made a reservation. He was asked my email address and he called me for it. So, with my name an email address she couldn't pull my reservation up. Really! She then went on and started a new rental, with my husband's name only to find out that his only option was a cargo van! The reason we needed this truck was to move our son into another apartment. Using the cargo van there were more trips that was needed! I call the store and spoke with Mr. Emmanuel, Manager! I speak only English an I didn't understand why it was a problem to give me a discount due to the error. I found out by your regional office called me to see if I still would be getting the truck! It was a major disappointment to me because I have done a lot of business with U-Haul in the past, but may have to use another company! Never used this store before. Maybe, you they need a software that could pull up with customers name or email address!PALMER S.

I was instructed by UHAUL to contact the store where I would be picking up the truck and make sure my utility dolly and 12 furniture pads would be on the truck. So i did. The female I spoke to stated that they had no pads nor dolly and that I would have to wait for the next truck to bring some in. She said i could us a flat furniture dolly. I told her that would not work and that i had ordered 12 furniture pad and a simple dolly and that I did not want the large dolly with straps that moves appliances. She was very rude and argumentative. When I arrived at the store i introduced myself by name and purpose of picking up my reserved rental truck. The store manager, a young man, very slowly stated I need to see your credit card. There was MORE than 6 feet of space chained off separating me from his counter. He never got up durring this transaction and sat in a chair except for the time he stepped out of the store with me and gave me instructions on how to download my drivers license. After he asked for my card he just sat there, not offering any instruction, request or assistance in receiving the card, he just stared at me, so I reached out and tossed the card on his desk at his request. He surly stated, "I am not a dog. I don't appreciate you throwing your card at me (I only tossed it on his desk where he could reach it . He did not get up but remained seated. He said, "you need to down load your driver's license and I said , "The rental agreement stated that you could do this for me as I don't know how." He said , "I can but I am not going to because you threw your card at me. I am not a dog." At this point I would have walked away but I needed the truck very much. I said, " Please do it . I don't know how." He said, I will not I am not a dog, but "I will show you how." So he starts my punishment by slowly, surly, telling me the steps. My phone would not open up and I told hiim so. He stated, "Do you have ATT?" I said, "yes". He said , ATT will not work in here. You will have to go outside." So, He got out of his chair and walked outside with me. An early cold front was blowing through. The wind chill was about 20 degrees. It was cold. He stated, You need to take a picture of your driver's license. I gave the license for him to hold because I needed both hands in the freezing wind to operate the phone camera so I handed him the card to hold so I could take the picture. He hesitated and then held the driver's license in this hand and stated, "Well this defeats the purpose." ( I took that to mean it took away from my punishment.) He handed the license to me and made me hold it and take a picture of the back. He slowly decribed each step. I guess he likes cold wind, I was freezing, (Again I was in a time crunch and had to have this truck to stay on schedule, or I would have NEVER EVER GONE THROUGH WITH THIS ABUSE. We completed this and went back inside to thaw out. He walked back around the counter, plopped back into his chair and then stood up and reached out his desk pad holding my credit card and poured it on the floor on his side of the 6 foot chained distance. He did not say a word, got up and walked away. I asked another employee for a broom and he stood there and looked at me and said, "a what?!" I said a broom to pull my credit card to me. He gave me a huge push broom. It was so big i could barley weave it into the small space between boxes where my card was. I then painfully bent down to pick up the credit card as I am still recovering from an 18 wheeler crashing into me. (Police report shows it was 18 wheelers fault.) So i had to get down on the floor to pick up my card. It hurt. i WILL NEVER GO TO THIS STORE ANGAIN. THE STORE IN MERIDIAN WHERE I TURN THIS TRUCK IN WERE VERY HELPFUL. I had a horrid experience. I have used Pensky and Rhyder. Both were helpful and courteous. This makes me want to NEVER USE U-HAUL AGAIN. i am a minister and move to different churches as I am appointed. I may need to use a different truck rental for my next move in June. I expect you to call me and discuss this terrible customer abuse. I was greatly discriminated againt and I do not deserve such treatment. I EXPECT TO BE CONTACTED ASAP. YOU HAVE Y NUMBER AND MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER! CALL ME! i HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY BY ANY RETAILER. YOU TAKE MY MONEY AND ABUSE ME? THIS IS NOT OVER. I EXPECT COMPENSATION FROM U-HAUL. This is the 3rd U-Haul piece of equipment I have rented in the last month. Every time there has been an issue. This last time took the cake! I went to pick up my 6x12 cargo trailer that was supposed to be ready before 10am. We were traveling in from out of state and called to advise we had been stuck In a bad traffic jam, the CSR said no problem and she updated the reservation- when we arrived at 3:30pm our equipment was not there. The manager on duty stated that it wasn't there yet. When I spoke to them earlier I was advised it would be waiting for me. The previous equipment rental had been extended for 2 days! I received no apology from on this horrible employee. He told me there was another trailer a 5x10 we could rent but then said it was in town only. So that was a no go! We were left with a 5x8 utility trailer. The employee who verified the equipment sent it to us dirty, not properly working tail lights and the door was difficult to open. Did the â€œmanagerâ€ offer a discount- nope! I had prepaid for the 6x12 when I did the online check-in. I was advised by Uhaul to do that because of COVID! The idiot worker stated I would get a refund of the difference in 3-5 days. This is horrible business. I will have to rent another trailer to move the rest of my stuff because the Jackson, MS store dropped the ball. While waiting forever to get this tiny trailer another employee brought pizza in and carried on a conversation with the â€œmanagerâ€ and he stopped what he was doing to talk to her about crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese. Very unprofessional that the manager knew I was irritated because he didn't bother to apologize, call me to let me know it was not available, and would conversation with others during this. Make matters worse while waiting to have pictures taken you have employees washing their personal Dodge car. Fire this entire staff they are worthless!!'Angela M.

This location is horrible. My disabled, elderly God Mother happened to be at the same location when I was completing drop off. She was attempted to clear a storage that had become rat infested. All of her beautiful antiques and family photos were ruined. This place should be condemned. Every news outlet and social media site should be made aware of this disgusting location. I have used this facility before and didn’t have a problem. Unfortunately this was not one of those times. There was a leak in my storage unit and most of my belongings were ruined!!!!!!! The unit reeked of Mildew. Mold covered my furniture, luggage, shoes,and clothes it was awful!!!!! The staff at the location just gave me a number to call and said they have nothing to do with insurance claims!!!! There was no empathy or compassion, shown toward me, It actually could have helped me feel a little better about the situation, but, I guess it’s still just business as usual for them. Now, it’s not their fault my unit leaked, however, I will NEVER use uhaul again!!!!! The facility was dirty. The gentlemen that helped us was in NO hurry whatsoever. I had a deadline and he could have cared less. He told me the system was down so my access card would not work so he would have to walk down there to let me in. However, he then started helping someone else so I had to wait about 10 more minutes for him to finish that. The whole experience left a lot to be desired. I called in ahead of time and was told I was good, when I got there he had a million questions, many of which I thought were totally unneccessary. However if they were necessary, I wish I could have done that over the phone when I called. It would have saved me a lot of time.
