Answer the phone when I need to communicate the rental will be returned on time or later or earlier. DON'T DOUBLE CHARGE YOUR CUSTOMERS WHEN THE COMPUTER SYSTEM IS NOT FUNCTIONING AND STAFF REFUSES TO ANSWER CALLS. Service was slow but well done when an another associate became available. One associate was obviously not well trained which did not help the experience. I am still awaiting an email that gives me a final cost as our mileage was less than anticipated. We received our truck and the entire back smelled very strong of cannabis. I moved my 74 year old mom and her couch , love seat and 2 chairs not to mention her bedding and all of her clothing smelled of canabis. Now she has to gave her furniture cleaned, all of her clothes cleaned etc. tThe lady at the counter admitted that she knew it smelled strongly and it wasnt tight that it happened to us but offered no compensation. People were all nice but U-Haul really let me down. I dealt with 2 locations. The original in Ashland, did not have the vehicle despite scheduling it online and then checking with the local team the morning of the pick up, that the rental was secure. I was assured that it was. I was schedule to pick up the 10' truck at 11:30 AM. I arrived a bit early and found that that truck had been rented to someone else and was not due back until noon. The man called the renter and he said that he would not have it back until 1 pm. I was was scheduled to meet my paid moving team at noon. I was then sent all the way to North Medford to get a 15' truck and then there was confusion about it as it showed up in the system as an order for a 15' truck to be picked up back in Ashland. It was finally straightened out but it caused me a great deal of stress and more money out of my pocket. So, no, I'm not happy with U-Haul right now.Linda S.

Overall, it was very good, but workers shouldn't socialize with the other workers when they are in the midst of helping a customer. Also, customers are made to wait quite a while even when it is not busy. It seems like workers at the front desk are hesitant to take on a new customer. The trucks worked perfectly. The contactless pickup of our truck didn't work. I had to go inside to have someone assist in finishing the process because the website would not work. I reserved and was charged for furniture pads we never received. The wait inside the store is always long. Staff never wear face coverings like they are supposed to. I returned the trailer the same day that I rented it. I was charged for three days. The employee that took the trailer back was clearly complacent in his duties and did not properly do his paperwork. This has resulted in me having to waste more of my time to rectify the situation. It's too bad that UHaul does not care about their patrons or their time.BRIAN NEAL P.
I downloaded the app and reserved a truck online. When we arrived to pick up the truck we had to wait about 25 minutes before getting checked in. The woman who checked us in gave us vague information about the rental. When we went to check the vehicle the mileage was not correct. We reported this discrepancy to an associate and he said it would be taken care of. When we returned the truck we were told that everything was taken care and we left only to find that we had been overcharged for the mileage issue we had noted earlier. We had to drive back to the u-haul location because we couldn't get through in the phone. It took us another 45 minutes to straighten it out. Overall we wasted at least 1.5 -2 hours dealing with problems. We are still waiting to see if our credit card is credited. We will not use this location again.Katie M.

I had to make an appointment at this location to pick up my belongings. I live 2 1/2 hrs away so when I moved back here from NH, Medford OR was the closest location I was told that handled the PODS, even though there is a UHaul near my home in Crescent City and Brookings OR. When I arrived to clean out my POD, the manager Marlin who never got out of his chair, the entire time we were there over 2 hrs, radioed Dale the forklift operator to get my POD out. Marlin told me to talk to Dale who ignored me and went about casually moving PODS, which took approx 1/2 hr. We asked his assistant twice what the hold up was and he spoke with Dale, when Dale did get the POD he dropped it at the front of a second building, got off his forklift, and ambled into a warehouse, we attempted to get his attention, when he got back on his forklift he drove the POD here and there like an idiot, saying "where do you want it?" he stopped in front of where we were parked with a trailer, then drove back and forth a couple of times before dropping it near us and drove off. I have never been so disappointed in my life, I have been paying 80 dollars a month for over a year to be treated like trash when I finally am able to get help to pick up my things. When I went into the office to check out, Marlin, big surprise was still sitting on his fat ass! I spoke to a very nice associate, Anthony who explained that they had been short-staffed, and he didn't think Dale would do anything malicious. Nice boy, I appreciated his help but we are all short-staffed and that does not EVER give you the right to be rude! I had to ask Marlin if he wanted the blankets back. If I had not, I could have taken the 24 blankets that were provided with my POD. I will never use Uhaul again and, I will be calling corporate regarding a refund, as payment for August was taken from my bank automatically 8/4 and I picked up my things 8/5, Marlin said they do not issue refunds in any case and I can't imagine how that would be legal. If I am not issued a refund, I will be also reporting to the BBB.JAMI B.

Clean is the only thing going for this place. Almost all of the staff has been helpful and my card has never worked to access my unit. The managers were never there or available to help. And then the best part is I just got a notice they were raising the prices. This is the worst storage facility I’ve ever used and I’ve had really good experiences with uhaul in the past. Poorly managed storage facility, slow service, pay twice the price for half the space as anywhere else, very few total parking spaces in the lot for customers making storage here inconvenient and slow, be prepared to haul your goods across the property anytime you have to access your unit. Gary was really helpful. It had taken me a couple of weeks to find a storage facility with an available storage unit. When I finally had, I booked it right away even though I was unable to get there for a few days. Upon arrival, my access was denied. I purchased a lock from uhaul when I rented my storage they kept locking my unit telling me the lock they sold me was not acceptable. I complained about never being able to access my unit because of faulty key cards and locks on my unit and was met with attitude and poor customer service. They told me they wouldnt lose business ot having me because they are always full anyway terrible employees the only good employee there was having his 1st day at work that says alot. Ive rented from uhaul in the past and have never had a bad experience. It wasn't necessarily the employees fault but honestly I would never go back to a facility where you had to wait for an hour every time to open your storage unit. Apparently the it guy was on leave and the company wouldn't let them hire someone else, so my code to access my storage unit never got programmed into the system. I wasted so many hours of my life trying to get into that stupid storage unit because there was never more than one person. at the front desk and most of them didn't understand why I couldn't just use my code and I got forgotten about so many times. My two year experience with Rogue Valley UHaul was beyond great until the Almeda Fire fallout and the ensuing madness forced us to move out of the area. I found it taxing to deal with all I was dealing with, and then to have UHaul not quickly enough recognize I had extenuating circumstances and aid in ending my contract. It was too much with the no response and continued charging. I do appreciate though that everything has been resolved and thank all who did help to do so. Parking was impossible. The reservation had to be redone on 3 separate occasions. Twice in one day within a few hours. The first reservation could not be found. It took almost 40 minutes to check in, I was charged first months rent when it was supposed to be free. The associated could not reverse the charges.
