This was the worst Uhaul experience ever. We got up at 5:30 am to drive an hour and half to pick up our Uhaul. We arrived at the location to find it closed and called the number listed several times. No answer. There was no truck to be seen. We finally got ahold of the state office and they found the truck only to let us know that it was still being used. We volunteered to help the person unload their truck because we were told there were no other options for trucks within a several hour radius. We spent 4 1/2 hours unloading this mans Uhaul. We were very thankful the people at the state gave us a hefty discount, but we never heard anything from the pickup location. The man swore he got an extension from them and he was not in the wrong for not returning the Uhaul. Taking that all with a grain of salt considering he didnt thank my husband and I for unloading his Uhaul for himROBERT LEE C.

this was an excellent experience! Sterling at UPB was wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated Ashley and the other Uhaul employee I spoke with. We also worked with Uhaul in Thermop fir the car trailer and Sinclair for the dollys.susan I.
Run down poor ran â€œauthorized dealerâ€ The guy that came out to install the trailer wasn't sober wasn't a U-Haul employee didn't even know how to hook up the trailer properly to U-Haul code. Called traffic (Casper) got hung up on multiple times. Asked to speak to supervisor once again got hung up on and then after finally speaking to lady she she didn't believe anything I said and didn't want to give me my employee discount or care whatsoever about what I had to say. Total joke will not be renting from my work place U-HAUL anymore.Martin M.
The equipment was defective and I had to stop every 10 to 15 miles to reposition the car and tie everything again. It was a nightmare. I tried calling uhaul several times for four days in a row to exchange it for a functioning one but stayed on hold for unprecedented times like one hour and twenty minutes, forty eight minutes, and then call would drop or no one would answer. The place I picked it up from was fine, but the truck was not sweated out and the windshield was nasty. But they did have the truck warmed up for me, because of the cold weather. The employee was very nice. I was very frustrated that I wasn't able to have the truck size that I needed, unless i drove 11/2 hours to go pick it up. I even told the person that i was single and wouldn't have a way to pick it up without leaving my own vehicle their. I know in the past that uhaul moves those trucks to different locations to help the customers out that requested a specific size. I really needed the bigger truck and the truck and trailer that i received was not even close for cubic footage for what i needed.kandy G.

I was from Basin Wy. and needed to move personal items from Basin to Park Rapids, Mn. I was told to contact Uhaul of Basin, Wy which I attempted to do. I drove out to the location south of Basin and saw trailers but nobody in the office. I made a phone call and found out the location was shut down but they wanted to use up trailers in place and that I should contact Regina at 541.646.8811. I left messages and no response, I then contacted Uhaul and they tried unsuccessfully to contact her also and stated we would have to move the pick up to Worland, Wy. and I agreed. The funny thing was that the night before we left I was talking to a friend who had just seen Regina (interesting). When I picked the trailer up at the new location (United Pawn Brokers) they informed me to re-check the crank down on the hitch to make sure is was tight. When loaded I did and needed to turn down the crank another 3 complete turns to re-tighten. When I got to my first gas stop I checked it again and once again had to re-tighten 3 or 4 complete turns. I now was a little nervous and when I stopped again for gas once again had to re-tighten 3 or 4 complete turns to tighten. I was in Beach, ND and began to search for Uhaul places nearby and found Mac's in Dickenson, ND 60 miles away. Once on the down ramp into Dickenson I pulled over and checked the hitch again and it was once again several turns from tight. I do not feel that this trailer should have been on the road. When I arrived at Mac's Nathan the Mgr checked the hitch and agreed that it appeared defective and that we would need to empty the trailer and secure another one in his lot to continue on. Seeing the distress I was in he immediately brought out another employee and they helped us to unload and re-load to another trailer and got us out of there in one hour. My hats off to Nathan and Marty from Mac's in Dickenson as they were awesome in every form and went above and beyond to take care of me an my wife. On the other hand as this trailer should not have been on the road and I do not know how close we were to failure of the hitch. Thank goodness we had a lot of tongue weight to aid in non-failure. It is my feeling that Uhaul should reimburse us for putting us in this situation. I also was going to contact Uhaul by phone to register this complaint prior to these comments but of course it was a 10 - 15 minute wait to speak with a rep. to find out how to make a complaint. Bad Deal Uhaul and I feel I deserve my money back.paul K.

We dropped the uhaul off on time were charged a day extra and put $65 worth of gas in the truck before we dropped it off it showed 3/4 tank they said it was just below and so we were charged. We did get the refund for the extra day but not the fuel. We planned on booking again to get the rest of our stuff and now will not.Jessie K.

The gentleman at this location was awesome considering he had a equipment cataloguing dilemma. I stood there and watched him deal with the internal workings of the company. In the end, he still had to resolve the issue. He was really super polite and helpful to me even with the mix-up.TRACY G.

Smoke filled room with loud music. Dealer had to call twice to figure out computer. Didn't have enough blankets on hand. Truck was dirty inside can and trailer. Blankets unfolded in back. No opportunity for walk around or no instructions given. Took over 45 minutes to get truck.William H.

1.The I haul representive did not know how to do the paper work and it took her over an hour to get it done. Plus she was smoking all the time. The busness was dirty and smoke smelling. I have allergies and could hardly breath,had to go out side sometimes. I do not Ã¬understand why I had to get truck there when I placed the order thru the Sinclair Station.nancy R.

The vehicle outside was dirt, and the cab was not real clean either. When we went to check the engine oil there was a problem opening the tip-forward hood because one of the two hinge bolts was missing. This caused me additional stress because the dealer opened at 0830 (I got there a few minutes past) and I had a crew hired to start loading at 0900. My brother had to take the U-Haul to the hardware store and get a replacement bolt, the dealer said he had no one one available to do that or fix it. Also, when we did get the hood open the engine was a quart low on oil, so obviously they had not even checked the engine oil before we arrived. I think some form of reimbursement or refund is in order for all the hassle and stress this caused me!Donald K.
