Horrible Customer Service the associate named cat had absolutely no clue what she was doing and every question I asked her her response was I don’t know if you work this type of job shouldn’t you know the answers to the questions customers could potentially ask you and remind you, they were not difficult questions horrible experience

Lawrence NWhen I called the main uhaul location they gave me a different location on the same road. When my co worker went to pick it up along with having the confirmation number in hand and that location struggling to log into their system, they did not have my vehicle and said oh your location is now the above one they switched it. It would have been nice to know that beforehand as we were in a time crunch and this cost us extra time to travel to a new location.

Todd GYour system was down so there were a line of customers waiting. I was able to use online check-in to get a rental and that went pretty smooth. Glad I wasn’t charged for a dirty truck but it was just the floor in the truck everything else was pretty clean. Overall I would rent again from this location. Thanks

NICHOLAS TI was sent to this location after reserving a trailer at the forest hills road location in loves park. After standing in line for thirty minutes at loves park the girl told me I had to go to state street location to get a trailer because someone had stolen the trailer the night before. So even tho forest hills has my on line reservation with my phone number and email they couldn’t notify me before my 9:00 pickup that I needed to go to a different location. Terrible

JACINTO HI don't think the service I received can be beat. The team at Value Plus went above and beyond (in my opinion) to get me a motorcycle trailer to bring my new project home. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends.
William RI would have appreciated a heads-up that the hitch balls wasn't available at this location. The location wasn't the original location booked with so I wasn’t aware the hitches weren't available. Ended up getting a much more expensive hitch ball.

DAVID WStraps were completely frayed and kept coming off the the vehicle down the highway. Had to stop at a truck stop to buy heavy duty straps. No one seemed to care when I brought the trailer back and said it was unsafe. Then the guy sitting on his cell phone texting told me to unhook the trailer myself because he’s busy

CATHERINE KDon’t park trucks down on a hill when there is ice everywhere… I asked the man to bring the truck up because it was down a steep hill and ice everywhere- he pointed at it and said it just halfway down the hill… and I said - yes and the hill is full of ice - I didn’t want to fall and he burned so much rubber off the tires trying to get the truck up the hill… and It took a bunch of tries to accomplish getting up the hill… and the truck was moving sideways and then back and forth - finally smoke everywhere and the smell of burnt rubber the truck made it up the hill… thanks to the young man who did that after I asked and explained why I wasn’t going to do that.

JAMES SI dropped off my trailer to n 11/4/25. The person working the desk informed me he had me checked in and I "was good to go". On 11/9/25 I received a notification on my card for a charge for another 4 day rental with insurance. U-haul customer service was not helpful and told me I would not be getting a full refund because they had me down as a one way trip even though I ordered on the phone a "return to same location as pick up" and confirmed it with the front desk personnel. I was then told my refund will still not be for the entire charge due to the insurance purchase. I RETURNED THE TRAILER ON THE 4TH. So why was I charged insurance for the extended rental?! I paid for my original rental WITH insurance up front at the u-haul location when I picked up the order. This is an unauthorized charge and unacceptable business practice. Customer service even agreed they see I dropped the trailer off on my initial return date of 11/4. So why charge me extra? I am contesting the charges on my credit card account. This is unacceptable and I will not be using U-haul again and I will refer people away from this company. Horrible overall experience.

WILLIAM DTwo travel days with this trailer. Handled very well over 900 plus miles. Did get some leaking of water and some boxes got wet from the back wall seams of the trailer, however it rained both days all day! Nothing was damaged though. Overall very satisfied
DAVID MFirst time using a tow dolly. Did not realize it was difficult to back up. I wish I was told that so I could have practiced in an empty lot before putting the car on.
WILLIAM CThis location and the people are amazing and great. Hopefully someone from the u per management sees this comment and brings more trailers with rams to Rockford. Literally if you hold brings one more trailer to Rockford U will increase 100% of trailers with rams on Rockford territory. It is absolutely crazy that for a town of 200000 people almost you will provide it only 16 / 12 trailer with a ramp. Again this specific location is absolutely amazing, Employees are going above and beyond for their customers.

Laurie MThe biggest problem in using U-Haul is the hugest issue and that is the problem with finding the locations! the Google maps takes you on a fricken circus ride! circling you around and not leading you to the exact location. It waisted a lot of time and made a frustrating situation even more frustrating especially with my situation, vehicle broke down and had to call of someone else to help getting me from where I broke down and back for a three hour drive. This happened for this location in Rockford, Illinois and in Dubuque, Iowa when I wanted to return your equipment. perhaps check on the locations you are listed at and verify the location is correct! I was fortunate this location was open because this happened on labor day. Grateful to have my vehicle back home for repairs.
