Terrible experience with employees.

In general, I do not like your model of business. Your product was cheaper than better rental services, but at the cost of reliable customer service. Folks were friendly enough, but lacked knowledge of the product. There didn't seem to be any network through which to communicate with other U-Haul centers, so that when I showed up and the moving blankets I had reserved for purchase weren't available, the customer service person couldn't tell me who might have any blankets. Even the other centers I called or drove to in search of blankets weren't able to help me find blankets. I finally went to a Harbor Freight store and purchased them for less than what I would've paid through U-Haul. There was operating manual in the truck, so I was guessing at numerous variables of "how to turn on stuff" and "what does this light mean". In short, if given the choice in the future, I will not use U-Haul for any sort of move, what so ever.

I don't like coming out of a store smelling like vape, kind of disgusting. Multiple people were actively vaping in the store while I waited for the guy to figure out how to use the U-Haul tablet. The people were friendly which I do appreciate.

Equipment needs lubrication. Was difficult to use

Not exactly a family friendly location. Located in a Vape Store. Limits being able to take your kid with you to pick up equipment. Am I suppose to leave them in the parking lot while I go inside? Employee was more concerned why his vape wasn't working over the process of checking out the equipment. It was the only location that had the equipment I needed within 50 miles.

Venture Vape employee was very helpful and everything went well. Not related to them but to UHAUL.com, there was a different drop off location on my contract. I arrived at that location and started to check in my vehicle on the app only to be notified my drop off location had changed. Round trip it added 7 miles to my trip which put me over the allotted miles and I had to pay extra for the additional miles. While not a significant amount I was frustrated that I had to drive to another location and pay extra because UHAUL changed it after I had a contract agreement. I was NOT notified before drop off. That is something I would want clarity on in the future.

It was a sketchy vape store and adult lounge, not a place I’d send people to rent a trailer.
