When i took the truck it had 3/8 of a tank of gas. I filled it up before i dropped it off with over 5 gallons of gas to get it back to the 3/8. When i dropped it off, no one at the store checked the vehicle prior to me leaving and then charged me for only having a 1/4 of a tank via email. I had filled it up back to 3/8. But was 30 miles away. This is very shady for a business to do tjis to a customer. I am an honest person and this was totally corrupt for a business to do.Gordon B.

The location is very convenient for me, however, the vehicle and experience was not good. I did the online check-in but still had to go in the store and wait for 5-10 min for someone to give me the key. Vehicle was in bad shape. Big dent on it that wasn't reflected on the photo I reviewed, ran VERY rough and loud (105,000 miles on it), tires were bald - slid down our driveway as they had no grip. Also, we requested an appliance dolly online, and paid for it, but there was no dolly in the vehicle or mention of it when I got the key. We had to drive back to the store, adding miles to our trip, to pick it up. We were told they don't have any appliance dollies so were given a normal dolly and a furniture dolly instead. I made my reservation with the Call Center. I was told I could pick up the trailer in Madison at 9am . When I got my final itinerary, the trailer was not at the location or time I requested. I had to drive an hour out of my way to get the trailer at the time I needed. It was irritating.Christopher T.

Only one person in the store knew how to handle a UHaul return; lots of time spent waiting for her to appear, then to check the truck and gas gauge, then to produce paperwork. After all the effort to provide driver's licenses for the driver down, then the person who dropped it in Mt Horeb, no one checked to see that the driver was actually that person. I could have asked anyone to come with me or presented myself as the driver. Careless.lou C.

This survey should not be about the location of pickup and dropoff - it should be about customer experience with U-Haul operations. With that as background, I reserved a truck well in advance only to be told that the record was not complete (even though I received a verification email). When speaking with customer (dis)service, when I started pressing the young lady about what I should have done differently to avoid the confusion and now wasted 45 minutes, she put me on hold for 15 minutes until another customer service person answered. After an hour, they came to the conclusion that I had paid and the reservation was made, but now I was an hour late for pickup and they would need to rework some of the booking because it was my fault it took them an hour to understand their own IT logistics system. This organization is a mess, and the folks answering the phones really do not care about the customer or their business. The next time I need to rent a vehicle, I will consider all other options before going back to U-Haul, even if they cost a bit more.Corey L.
U-Haul's ability to find and confirm equipment was very frustrating. I first searched on-line to find the inventory not accurate. Then, made a reservation to find the truck was not there. Finally, I had to travel almost 30 minutes out of town. The entire process needs to be critically analyzed and improved.clayton C.

We were told to do the 24/7 pick up due to the situation with social distancing but then we got there and it didn't work. We ended up going in after about 15 minutes of waiting for the approval on the phone. They got the paperwork and keys asap in the store. Very friendly. Thank youDoug V.

There were two staff members on hand - One an elderly gentlemen who has worked there for a year or so however needs assistance to rent out hardware every time. - and then there was a grumpy lady whom was rude and condescending the entire time. - I've honestly gone through too much crap in my life to have to put up with that shit. However it was a fairly painless event, even if the customer service was horrible.Brian K.

I would recommend out of conciseness location. I was slightly disappointed in I did everything before hand in line and it still took awhile to get going when I got there to pick up. Also the truck was covered in snow and took me awhile to clean off cutting into my time I had the vehicle for moving purposes.Mary C.

No complaints about drop off or pick up facilities. BUT ! I have never, ever had more difficulty securing a rental truck/trailer ! Hours and hours on the phone, unavailability, nothing in my area, not even close by, more time on the phone, different departments, different phone operators/agents, confusing and frustrating ! Only one agent was extremely helpful ( the last one who worked with me ) and told me my options. I have to rent a cargo van for in town trips soon, and am absolutely dreading going through this again ! Then, a flat tire complicated everything further, on a Sunday afternoon, when we were in the process of loading it, causing more delays.Sienna F.

Our truck wouldn't start the next morning since we rented ours for 24 hours. That set us back some time because we had to run to the store to get a jumper cable to jumpstart the truck. At the end of the day, we still had things that didn't make it to our new home, which we plan on making multiple trips using our family van. We originally wanted at least a 20 footer truck but the only biggest this location carries was 17.May T.

This store was very accommodating to a unique situation and all staff I worked with were very friendly. I would say that the contract they emailed me did not have information about filling up with gas and what the starting level was, so I did have to call in for that.glenn G.
I was quite upset about the "add-ons" that come with the truck, like dolly and mats, which although don't take up much space, are located in very inconvenient places. I almost paid the cost just to get them the hell out of the way.Aaron G.

I live in madison wi. Zip 53715. Called 3-4 weeks prior to move out to reserve. They reserved my uhaul for new Lisbon, wi. 1.5 hours away. I called uhaul to complain and they transferred me around a bit and finally found me one in my horeb. 30 Min away, much better than 1.5 hours. I felt stressed being 9 Mo pregnant but it all worked out fine.LULVERA A.
