The owner was a real gentleman and opened for me even though it was a Sunday when he's normally closed. He also hooked up the trailer for me. He also literally went the extra mile by driving to the location where I was picking up my lawn tractor to return my drivers license which I had left at his office. I had ordered a utility dolly and furniture pads for my move and was not provided with them, still was charged anyway. It in turn made my move more difficult and in result the move took longer than I had expected. I'm very upset and would recommend that anyone who orders such things makes sure that they are given what they paid for.Rose B.

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. When we arrived at our appointment time to pick up an auto transport trailer, the office was closed and locked. The local uhaul dealer wasn't answering the phone so I called the main uhaul help phone number and waited on hold for over 25 minutes to connect to a representative. The rep was very apologetic, and placed me on hold for another ten minutes while she looked for another location to help me. During that time, the local agent returned my call and told me he would arrive in ten minutes to help me. Once he arrived, he hooked the trailer up to my van and I was on my way. While driving my newly purchased car onto the auto transport, the apparently improperly installed hitch slipped off the ball and the entire trailer lunged forward and hit the back of my van, causing damage to my bumper and back panel. Luckily, I able to correctly connect the trailer to complete the transport afterward.Jared R.

I dropped off the truck and the man there called me about the key. I went right over with it and told him I didn't leave it as I wanted to be sure he got it and I wanted to be with him while he checked it over. Excellent service there too!Lora S.

This location is I expected it to be. Small, local drop-off location. Not their main business and I we were treated like we were out-of-towners and would never be back. I understand this attitude but it isn't very inviting.Joan G.

When a customer pays the full day rate dont call at 7 am ... And when furniture dollys are rented2 ... Dont provide 2 hand trucks that werent even useable for the operation and due to timeline and appropriate rented equipment being provided 1 worker was injured . The U-Haul rep was courteous ... But that face remains your company has now had 2 out of 2 rentals a disaster ... As this is the 2nd time of failures . 2 different locations and these are the results... I don't believe any further business will be conducted with your company. Recommend sending people to various locations periodically to go through the entire rental process and provide feed back to corporate and vendors as these static failures will net reduction of company profits .Gary Y.
I am awaiting a representative to listen to the voice recording of a conversation. Apparently nothing was in writing. I was charged one extra day. When I was assured I would not be charged for a whole day providing the truck was back before 8 am...So the specialist this am was not helpful and a bit rude....But the overall experience was wonderful.Helen P.

The location was an alternate location from the one at which I reserved the truck. the change of locations added over two hours to the length of my drives and to my already long day. This is the fault of the location operator. It was a failure of the central network.JOSEPH R.

After the Cooperstown and Oneonta locations canceled our trucks, we went to Warnerville to pick up our 15 footer. They were super nice, despite us being a little late (it was farther!) and the truck was great. The pads were not included, but he took them off our bill so we had no problem at the other end and said to call him if there were any problems. Good communications, very helpful.Sarah W.

Nobody was at the location when I dropped the trailer off, but I was able to speak to someone when I called the number located on the window of the office. I unhitched the trailer myself, which was not a big deal. I am happy to have locations near where I live to be able to drop off uhaul trucks and trailers, so I am fine with the fact no one was there.Diana C.

Your Website said I could check I & pre-pay the day before pickup. But that is incorrect. I was given a choice of where to return truck on Website. Then you tried to charge me $3.00 more because YOU wanted me to return truck to a different location 40 minutes away!Sandra B.
This was by far THE WORST rental/moving experience. From the beginning, uhaul was lacking in communication. I was not told that the location that I chose to pick up did not have my truck. Days later, I was told on a Saturday night before my move that I would have to pick up my truck over an hour from my house. After calling numerous times and being on hold over 30-40 minutes each time, they changed to a slightly closer location and told me to call at 7AM the day of my move. A truck was found the day of my move. However there was a discrepancy over the return location. It was not the location chosen when the reservation was made. This truck was in horrible mechanical condition. The steering and suspension of this truck was horrendous! I had to drive this truck on the highway with enormous play in the wheel. When I called uhaul to discuss the return location being different, uhaul had yet a third completely different location on file. One hand had absolutely no idea what the other hand was doing. When I inquired if I could drop off at a closer location I was told that would be acceptable since there was a huge discrepancy regarding the return location.. Then I was charged almost one hundred dollars for returning to the "wrong location" when uhaul had absolutely no idea what the correct location was. I would steer anyone clear of U Haul. I find that Uhaul is a excellent company to rent from. The problem is with the computer system that is used to reserve a rental. The online system does not work well with the location system. You spend 20 minutes online setting setting up a reservation so that your time at the location is supposed to be (speedy ) but then it takes another 25 minutes at the rental location because the system did not save your information.JOE B.

With having to leave my car there when I picked up the uhaul for a 2 day event we received 40 inches of snow. Whoever their snow plow person was snow plowed me in. I was luck y that I was able to get out as it was late at night when I returned the van.Jason G.
