Uhaul in general is an average experience. Nickel and dime yah on everything. Mileage, coverage, rental, insurance, supplies... But can't even drop off at a different location so you are stuck making rounds trips unnecessarily. Always reschedule your pick up locations too so end up driving twice as far. Didn't even bother to gas up the truck so we were on the click and filling the tank. Not convenient at all.Thomas S.

Car hauler was full of ice and snow, when I picked it up at the WASH FACTORY. So when I dropped it off in Drumheller I left it snow and ice covered. Then you after hours drop off is a pain in the ass. I do not feel that Ishould be charged the extra days charge due to this . Plus this clown in Drumheller did not open until at least 12 noon on Monday when I dropped trailer off.Christopher N.

Customers should be told that the trucks are not available at any given location. No truck was available at the location where I did the reservation. Upon calling them and discovering this, I had to phone customer service who directed me to a second location. When I arrived there, I discovered the truck had a flat tire. Back to customer service who directed me to a third location (Wash Factory) where I finally got a truck. This location was 45 minutes away. It took 2 -3 hours to the truck. Hardly amazing service. U-Haul should be verifying the truck availability prior to the reservation date / time and dealing with exceptions BEFORE the pickup time - not after. I have rated the location well because the representative was both helpful and efficient.William L.
The location was good, but the whole experience was horrible!! We had a pick up time of 9am and didn't get on the road until 10:45!! Uhaul systems were not working properly. Because of this we were over an hour late getting on the road to Lloydminster which is a 2.5 hr drive. Because of the delay the helper I had couldn't help me move my furniture causing my 6 month pregnant girlfriend to have to help! NOT IMPRESSED!! Our coach is very heavy and she should not have been moving anything! And has had pains in her stomach since! Also when I called to book the truck I was told there was no 10' trucks in Lloydminster, so we had to drive 2.5 hours to Edmonton and get a truck and come back! This costed 80$ in gas fees for the truck and 60$ for my own vehicle. I was told when I booked the truck I would NOT be charged for the Kilometres because of the inconvenience. When I dropped off the truck they charged me 70.85$. So now ive paid 210$ more than I would have paid if the truck was available in Lloydminster! Not impressed at all with this whole situation. I have a baby on the way so every cent counts! When I move again in the near future I'm strongly considering not using uhaul.kyle B.

Your new app and online vehicle check in is cumbersome and more work/time than checking in person. To make matters worse, the staff at this location do not understand that there is an app and online process and ask for your drivers license etc all over again. Poor training and familiarity of U-Haul process.Lonny H.

As I wrote on receipt at store, the ratchets on the dolly are rusted garbage and are completely unsafe, they didn't function at all until I oiled them, I had to purchase straps to secure vehicle to dolly, I told attendant and he did not come outside to look at the dolly, I bet if I went to rent it right now I could even though I told him they were/are unsafe, Eric KeatsEric K.

Very unprofessional employees, seemed like they only wanted to point out what was wrong with the vehicle, after already knowing that there were faults with the vehicle previously. He charged me for rock chips which were already there before and looked as if they were filled in already. Seems like he does this to everyone as he said rock chips before even seeing the truck. Then at the end gave me a 20% discount as if that would help the lie he was telling. Seems like a dishonest con-man. Charged me $126 in the end for rock chips in the mirror, I can personally get a brand new windshield installed for $250. Was just ridiculous.tardeep D.

The tires on the trailer were quite worn. You can see the threads. We required an adapter(Which we had to buy) for the old four prong system on the trailer which is the very outdated trailer connection.logan R.
Completely opposite experience with this location. No wonder, that this location has a five star rating. Turns out that locations not owned by U Haul are the best places for renting U Haul products. I am glad that I picked this location. Highly recommended.Faisal Ali A.

This location was just fine....... its uhaul customer service that is lacking .... and the fact that I was told I can drop off the truck at any location wasn't factual...and two locations that were suppose to be open for drop off were not causing me to waste gas finding an open location and uhaul made me pay for THEIR mistake..... Next time I'll just use another company and I definitely wont be recommending uhaul to anyone in the futureBrendan E.

The staff had no idea what to do with a towed trailer. There was no assistance in unhitching the trailer and no flat area to park it. As the 6x12 trailer is balanced, the hitch doesn't sit on the ground. There were no chalks for the tires and a easy push would have that trailer rolling down the slight hill and into someone car or the building.Kurtis H.

I had precious rent a cargo van last week without a credit card and 100 deposit. This week I had reserved a cargo for today dec.23 2019 at the wash factory. I needed to pay for a 1 ton truck because they would not let me take the cargo van today. I reserved it with my visa/debit. It was a huge deal when I went to go pick up the vehicles both times because it let me reserve them on a visa/debit but not to secure the vehicles. So I ended up paying for a larger/unneeded 1 ton, which also cost more.for gas and doubled the amount of money per kilometer. One upset familyAmberleah H.
All 5 Wash Factory reps I dealt with were friendly, informative and efficient, which made for a great experience beginning to end (booking, picking up, inspecting, extending the time over the phone, returning). The unit performed flawlessly and all the little signs and stickers re: features, performance and warnings were really helpful. I had three annoyances: 1- booking online, the system told me I would be billed in USD. I had to confirm with an agent by phone that I would actually be charged the posted rate in CAN. 2- with the USAmerican vehicle, the speedometer had prominent numbers for miles, but only tiny numbers for kms in an inner ring, and an indicator needle so thick that it obscured a range of numbers making it hard to know how fast I was travelling. And 3- the practice of starting with a half-full tank (instead of full as for car rentals), made it a challenge to refill the tank to half. The U-Haul company seems quite unapologetic about not adapting their product to their Canadian customers, and as they don't have much competition here, I feel like I have to just pinch my nose when I use them.Larry D.

I went to this place to rent a van for few hours. One of the staff was very helpful. He got me a van within few minutes and quick customer service. All the paper work was done in few minutes. This place also have a big parking lot to keep your personal car when you are away with the rental vehicle.Jamshedur R.

Charged for extra day and mileage and when questioned. Got told not worry about it. I would have liked more of an explanation on what I was getting charged $74.56 extra for! I already got a $221+ truck for one day. Than got charged on top of that. $300 extra moving expenses is alot.TRAVIS C.

This location was clean and well lit. Didn't feel sketchy dropping the vehicle off at night like some locations. So far in my last 2 recent experiences the staff didn't seem too familiar with the mobile check in. it says to skip the line but often only one person working, so that's awkward for the customer to jump past a bunch of impatient customers. Or interrupt someone being helped . It would be a better experience if the key was accessable through a lock box which is unlocked by QR or UPC code.Ben W.

The rental was fine, took longer to obtain vehicle than expected, but I think that was mostly a computer issue. Van was smelly, and needed an alignment badly. The extra rental fee for exceeding 100km in town seems excessive, I'm already paying for the meterage, no need to hit me with another $17 in rental charges, this isn't Wash Factory's fault though.Phillip M.

I have rented from U-Haul before with excellent results. This is the first time I have rented from this location. First, the pick up truck had garbage in the bed of the truck (plastic sheets, duct tape everywhere). Second, the truck had just under a half a tank of gas. When I pointed this out, I was told to fill it to where it was on the gauge when I was done. Upon completion of the task (which took 44 km). I attempted to fill it to where it was - as challenging as that is when not filling to full. I returned the vehicle and was told that the tank was not to half a tank (which it wasn't to begin with) and therefore they will be charging me an additional $15 + dollars for fuelling. So, in essence I used the truck for 44 km, put in $10 of fuel when done and was charged an additional amount. Almost $26 dollars for fuel, for 44 km of distance? I suspect that this is an attempt to pad their bottom line as it will not cost that much to get the truck to half a tank! I do not understand why the tank wasn't full when I started the rental and needed to be returned full! Seems very suspicious to me.Richard L.
