Extremely bad service!!!!! Went to pick up a van at Forest Drive location. Said they didn't have a van available and wanted me to fill out a whole new form on line, which I couldn't w/o a phone and tried to up sell to truck at higher cost. Went to West Street location and all they had was large truck available which ended up costing me over $100 more. This has happen twice now!!! Your site always direct to Forest Dr location even after trying not to go there. Will never use again if have to go to Forest locationJOHN C.

When we picked up this truck, we opened the back to start loading our stuff in for our move. There was a backpack and what looked to be some camping gear in the back that was clearly not ours. Because we needed to move ASAP and luckily it was an in town move we set these items off to the side, and called UHAUL to see how to proceed. I felt uncomfortable about these items not knowing what was in them but they said the only option was to bring them back with us to drop off the UHAUL. We did just that and when we returned the truck the Shell attendant mentioned that they belonged to a homeless man. I found this very unsanitary and unacceptable that we had to tote around a homeless mans items that inconvenienced us. This seemed very unprofessional and we will not be renting a UHAUL from this location ever again.Brian S.

THE MILEAGE COST IS TOO HIGH AND MISLEADING. I rented for 29.95, and than in one simple hour long trip I ran up 79 dollars in per mileage charge. It's very misleading and also not a fair price. It should be more like .75 a mile, not 1.29, that's really crazy.Ariel H.
Cargo van was very dirty - both in the cab and in the cargo area. We had to vacuum it out before we could even use it. Took about 30 mins. We were very disappointed - we have rented from U-Haul before and never had this problem. Will probably not use this location again.John S.
They had what we needed when another location who had committed to a truck and confirmed the day before but day of had no truck. They saved us easy to work with especially last minute. Made reservation at 730am and picked up truck at 8JAMES G.

I reserved a truck online at Carrol Fuel, 1824 Forest Dr Annapolis. The UHaul self service app did not work. The website did not work. No one answered the customer support line for over 10 minutes and no one was at the gas station to help. Luckily the Westpoint Shell was open and had a truck available.MARK M.

No replacement truck was available at this location and I needed to move that day so I had to take the truck that had no drivers side mirror.David S.

I had to sweep truck before use and cabin was really dirty. Cracked seat ate my butt. And with150k miles on it this truck was all over the road and not fun to drive. Really below expectations as was the gas station which mostly sells smoking accessories.MARGARET P.

Your mobile pickup worked well until it got to the van mileage verification. The online data was over 500 miles off of actual and wouldn't verify with the provoded instrument photo. I had tocall customer service and waited on hold for a half hour with no response. Luckily the location opened up early and The lo al rep was able to get ahold of someone at uhaul quickly. We worked out the problem (which came back again on drop off - you need a way for a trusted agent to update mileage on the vehicles). I never received the shipping blankets in the mobile pickup and the local rep could not take them off my bill. He had trouble navigating your interface. You need to figure out a way to trust the local reps!William W.
I pre-registered my rental on line. I declined the damage waiver on line and in person. Offered the rep my insurance card but he said he didn't need. He understood I declined the CDW. He said printer was broken and could not give me contract. Said he would email. Eventually the email showed up. When I discovered he charged me $50 for CDW I returned to the store. They would not refund or take off the contract. Sent me to another store they said that could help me. Went there, they said only the renting location can refund. I just returned and he said he would not refund. I am contacting my credit card company and declining the charges. I am writing a letter to the Maryland Attorney General notifying him of the fraud that is happening at Uhaul. If it is happening at this location I am asking the Attorney General to investigate all Uhauls in the state of Maryland. Contacting the BBB of MD. Going on Yelp. If I am unsuccessful with any of these means I will take you to small claims court. Upon return I asked the rep to email me the closed out contract. He emailed me a file with nothing on it. I ran a car rental company for 13 years and know this game. I will follow through on this so no other unsuspecting renter has to deal with this. Email me my final receipt at email@example.com. This was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The truck I rented had the â€œlow tire pressureâ€ light on, but I was assured that it wasn't a real problem, but a â€œfalse positiveâ€. That certainly turned out to be the case, I had no tire issues at all. I wholeheartedly recommend this Uhaul rental location and won't hesitate to use them in the future.CURTIS S.

Since you make people take photos of vehicles when they return them it isn't fair that someone should say that the vehicle isn't presentable for someone else then you turn around and charge them a $25 clean up fee. You probably would want to have and enter and exit questionnaire. Very disappointed with the closing of the transaction. I had to submit that it was presentable in order to Avoid paying for something that wasn't of my doing.MALEKE S.

I was given a vehicle that was difficult to reach as it was blocked by other trucks and surrounded by at least 6 inch of snow. When i asked for a different truck the attendant made me wait while he assisted other customers. I did not mind that however, instead of giving me one of the trucks that were up front, he asks me to move a truck that was in between 3 other trucks. I refused and asked him to cancel the contract. He then proceeds to say he will give me the one at the front. He ended up giving me one of the vehicles but ended up overcharging me.Petros K.

The young lady who handled my transaction named Shayla was absolutely excellent. She explained the entire process, worked with me to select the right size truck and the entire process went smoothly. I have had bad rental experiences in the past, but this was certainly an excellent one thanks to Shayla. I highly recommend this location because of her excellent work. Very unorganized, dirty, truck was in a back lot that was dangerous, clerk inside was put off because she had to help. Also she never put on a mask which is a violation of county law. 1) Personnel not wearing masks or practicing social distancing. 2) I chose counter pickup rather than self-service because I have had issues in the past with the automated cell phone process (buggy, won't scan, start over multiple times). During this rental, I pretty much had to try to do everything on my phone anyway but just standing at the counter with the unmasked attendant.Michael T.

I was quoted one price on the phone and they charged me nearly $50 more when I arrived. The girl did not listen to what was told to her and changed the name instead of adding the driver therefore I feel you haul it was me a refund of $50. Aside from that the girl was polite and friendly she just did not do as told.GEORGE L.
I've used this location for years. The staff is always very friendly, which is why I keep coming back, BUT the trucks are old and dirty. At the least, it would be great if someone cleaned the cabs periodically. Also, my truck was missing the key to the padlock on the rear gate, which would have really been nice, since I had to stop in Baltimore City. It may be a good idea to keep extra padlocks in the office. For the most part, this location is well run, well stocked and worth returning to.MORTON L.

The customer service rep (I believe her name was Shalla (spelling?)) was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient, as well as she displayed a very positive attitude. I think we were literally out the door in less than 10 minutes with the truck keys in hand. She clearly knew what she was doing , and she told us she had only been there a week and a half. When we returned the vehicle, she was again as friendly and efficient and in fact I tipped her and complimented her on her great service. The young woman handling the truck rental had to call a manager to be given the password to open the rental agreement online and was then walked through the process. I registered online a few days ago, with the promise that I'd be in my rental within minutes. I was, in 35 minutes. Very unprofessional and cost me time, which translates to money lost.GARY S.

My friend recommended this location on West Street to pick up a U-Haul truck and I can see why. The truck was clean, the two people I delt with were very courteous and explained all the different options I had and how the mileage worked. The equipment/truck didn't appear to be clean at all. I did not feel comfortable getting into it but I did bring my own sanitizer and sanitise the inside when I picked it up and when I dropped it off . Maybe if there was indication that these equipments/truck were sanitised before rental would be good. The area where they are kept need improvement.
