The truck was not swept out when we picked it up and the green clips for the handtruck were broken. Also, there was a code saying "tighten fuel cap" the whole time and we tried tightening it, but it didn't remove the code.

The only thing I can recommend is to inform people of the shortness of the trailer wiring harness. It was about 2-3 feet too short.

Customer Service was angry at us for bringing to their attention that the person who wrote down the odometer, wrote it down incorrectly. Thereby, overinflated the number by 30 miles. Instead of charging us for 15 miles, they charged us for 45 miles. I replied to a Uhaul email but never gotten back a response.

We could have sworn the call center representative quoted us approximately $1 charge per mile driven, when it came out to nearly $2 per mile (Ouch!). Unfortunately we signed the written contract. It would have been nice if the cashier at the Chevron station said to check for text messages and compare photos before departing, but we didn't get that text message until we were already well on our way. Once parked at our home 6 miles away, the "Before you go" text message linked to photos showing no damage. The truck actually did have scrape damage that wasn't visible in the photos. The damage even has rust, proving that it wasn't anything that happened recently. It took about an hour to finally talk to a person at U-Haul, to clear up the situation of pre-existing damage. The return process web-site is painfully slow and cumbersome on a smart phone as you stand out in the rain, and it won't show a printable receipt with our actual total of $230. BTW: This website is a glitchy joke!

I rented cargo van for 4 hours and returned to cashier in the gas station. I got charged for extra miles that I didn't drive plus gas fee. Seems like the van used after my rent and I was charged for it. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I arrived at 830am when I was there to pick up the truck I was told by the clerk that I wouldn't be able to get it till 9am. That's 30min taken away from my time. I then was told to go the lot and grab my truck, but I didn't have keys. I went back to the gas station where uhaul desk was and was told the lock code, I asked if my dolly was in there as well and the clerk said yes. I went back mind you its not close, to the truck opened the tailgate and No dolly. I drove the truck back to the gas station and asked if I could get the dolly im paying for since it wasn't there even though I was told it was. I finally got it and was on my was 1hr after I scheduled my uhaul pick up time. Upon returning the truck I parked it in the lot after sweeping it out and filling the tank and tried to use the app to return it. The app asked for a picture of the odometer and the gas gage but the app wouldn't load the picture, even after trying 7 times with no avail. I went back to the gas station again and told them all I wanted to was finish the return but nothing is working, they said they would manually check it later. Tbis has got to be the worst experience getting a uhaul I've ever had. I will never go back to that location or recommend anyone use then either. I will make the extra trip to got elsewhere.

Uhaul should reconsider sending confirmation emails to customers that claim there is a moving vehicle 'guaranteed' at the requested date/time given that the pick up location changed 3 times for us, with one of those changes happening 30 min prior to our pick up time when we were already on the way to the second original pick up location. The reasons I heard after calling the Uhaul traffic line 4 times, is that they can't guarantee a moving vehicle will be at the location on the requested date/time. If that's the case, what's the point of booking anything ahead of time, let alone sending out confirmation emails with a guarantee? These confirmations that I received both via Uhaul email notifications and on the phone with the reps turned out to be extremely unreliable as I was under the impression multiple times that there would be a guaranteed vehicle for us, yet the location changed multiple times, causing us to shuffle things on our end again and again. The logistics for Uhaul seems to be extremely messy and complicated, and the expectations I had were not met.

With 166k on the clock this uhaul needs to be retired. The transmission was slipping, steering column shifter was broke and didn't indicate park on the column, airbag light was on, and the AC only worked at the highest speed and the speeds were not working.

Have clear, precise, instructions explained and written out on returns and expectations. Maybe not have snotty workers bark at you when you are unsure where or what to do. The pick up location is not the same as the sign in location and its frustrating.

We were charged for two days and two insurances even though we only had the truck for 10 hours. When we spoke to the manager at drop off time To see if we could have a couple extra hours he said that was fine but failed to mention he was going to charge us for an an additional day and insurance. Spending $188 to have a uhaul for 10 hours is absolutely absurd, not to mention we put more gas in than when we got it- I will never use this location again.

Location was not close to the location I requested. I made the reservation more than a month in advance so I am not sure why I needed to drive 30 miles to pick up truck. Location was not open the day I requested and the rep was nice enough to call and say I needed to pick up the vehicle a day early otherwise it would not have been available on the reservation date.

I made reservations one month before moving for a truck and tow dolly. The day before the move I was told the only truck in town was an hour away south, and if I wanted a truck it would have to be that one. Also, I was told I would have to get the Dolly from a different site north.. Why offer reservations if nothing is to be reserved? A major inconvenience. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I arrived at an authorized dealer at a gas station that 1. added the $28 insurance I didn't check myself and 2. Failed to provide me the moving dolly. As I get home to load the truck I notice the second inconvenience, I'm missing a dolly. The next morning I go to pick up the dolly and was told by a female team member she would go grab the tow dolly and come right back… I stood in the store for 40 minutes before another representative helped me because he noticed I had been waiting for a while. This was by far the most unpleasant experience I've ever had with you all and I have used your services yearly for the past 8 years. The only location that was not problematic was the drop off point because he swiftly removed the extra dolly charge.

When we were given the truck there was coffee spilled on the interior of the cab and the back was not swept out. When we talked to the man inside they did send somebody out to clean it- But it was not ready to go and in the condition id expect. I also reserved 20 foot truck and was given a 26 foot truck and was told to take it or leave it because there wasn't a 20 foot available even though it said guaranteed availability when I reserved over a month prior. The 26 foot truck is a MUCH bigger truck than the 20, much harder to drive- it's the biggest truck you can legally drive without having a CDL, and ghazals way more gas causing extra fees for me when refueling. I would have rented from another location had I known the 20 foot truck would not have been available ahead of time. I was given no warning or notification of this change until the day of when I was picking up. When I was checking in I told him I was here for a 20 foot truck pick up and the gentleman said no I have you down for a 26 footer. I checked my email and showed him the email confirmation showing I reserved a 20 foot and he said well I don't have any 20 footers available so take it or leave it. Being that it was the day of my move I did not have other options available I took it. Location was also hard to find. There is no signage from the street advertising the U-Haul check in/out is inside the Chevron gas station. Parking is difficult.

The person running the night shift register was rude and in a hurry. We just walked in to get gas and to see where to park and she just assumed what our answers were going to be before we even had a chance to ask the question. I talked to someone else who was dropping off a U-Haul and they also mentioned the rude lady at the register. I had to go back in the morning to get a receipt for the gas since she closed the till before we could finish pumping and the service team way better. They were all super nice and helpful. 180 degree difference from the evening to the morning. If I just had the morning crew I would have done 10/10

You can do a lot to improve I won't use U-Haul again. First problem I was allowed to rent the truck at a location for pick up at 6 AM and when I arrived at the location And follow the instructions to pick up the key they didn't work. Spent 20 to 30 minutes waiting for someone to talk to at your one 800 number just to find out that location doesn't allow pick up till nine. In the middle of that call I was disconnected. I did receive a call back from U-Haul about 10 minutes later and which I learned that at 9 o'clock I could pick up the truck so I lost three hours on are they pushing everything out later in the evening. The seals around the windows of the truck were so bad that it sounded like a wind storm was going on for the entire 3 1/2 hours of the trip each way. Very unpleasant. Terrible experience can't believe what it cost me to have it.

Everyone I worked with was great. However it was extra frustrating. I reserved the truck online, prepaid in full, and wrhn I arrived did online check in. I was inspecting the vehicle when the employees came and took the key, as they had someone else reserved for that truck in their system. In the end they were able to give me another truck but I was extremely lucky as they initially said all their equipment was reserved for that day. So..... You all need to get the online reservations more in sync to prevent this from happening. If we weren't able to get a truck we would have been in a lot of trouble.

I would not recommend UHaul to anyone after the trouble. The online pickup was a disaster! Thankfully, I was able to contact Customer Service (after a long delay) and the gentleman stayed with me on the phone through all of my struggles. He shared with me that online pickup of vehicles is difficult and I encouraged him to share my frustrations with management. I appreciated his help through all of my tears and anger.

I had my rental changed at the last minute, which was very frustrating - I was supposed to receive a confirmation at 6pm two days before my rental, instead at 7:30pm one day before my rental, I received notice that the truck I had requested was not available, and a smaller truck would instead be available at a location much further away. This was frustrating, time consuming, and was really poor customer service.
