I rented a 15-ft truck. The mirrors on both sides and the windshield were extremely dirty. The interior was clean enough. I was surprised that Wilderness Chevron did not clean the mirrors and windshield at the very least. By not doing so, it reflects poorly on the U-Haul brand and there's a potential unsafe point for your customers.

VIC BWhen returning the trailer that you have rented, go to the Chevron Gas Station and then the app will open saying "Ready to Return." Don't go to storeage parking, app can't find your location. You must be in the stores location.

William POnly issue is i was NOT informed that i needed a 2" receiver ball hitch. Being large i assumed it was the standard 2 5/16" ball. This costed me an additional hour to my 13 hour trip as i had to go home and get mt 2 in ball hitch. This was all reserved over the phone to the local uhaul agent.
Jeff PTruck was filthy with chips, popcorn etc and when mentioned upon returning their excuse was we dont have the best team. If we had not needed the rental that day we would of just canceled.

JUSTIN WTruck was very dirty with dirty windshield and mirrors. ABS and Cruise control did not work. Called roadside assistance the first day and was told it was fine. 4th day of trip, check engine light came on. Waited on the side of the road for 2+ hours for a mechanic. Issue was a loose spark plug wire.

Dahvee EI was about to put the key in the drop off key box, guy smoking outside tells me im going to ruin their business if I left the truck there, proceeded to tell me to drop the truck a block away at a lot. I had already taken pictures of my drop off and location, I dont understand why I should move the truck after confirming I had the truck in the first location. I'm guessing that he was supposed to move any drop-offs to the lot himself and instead tells any uhaul renters to do it themselves. Guy does not deserve to be affiliated with uhaul if he's going to act like this. Location being a chevron with an affiliate to uhaul (red key drop box right by the gas pump) I even made sure to park the truck away from the pumps or behind any parked cars

Derek DCheck the equipment more carefully. I mistakenly drove off the site with a damaged trailer. I did not notice until a bit later and am concerned that there might be an attempt to charge me for the damage. I did purchase the insurance and report the damage as soon as I returned, but fear there may be an up coming incident. I just do not want the hassle that could have been avoided. This is not a good feeling. Location is ok and people are friendly but...

JOHN JMy previous experience with UHaul from this facility was great! My second experience: not so much. The cargo space was dirty. It had gravel dirt, and debris. It also reeked of gasoline and a visible spill inside is noticeable. I really wish I had look inside before driving out the lot. I gave them the benefit of the doubt after my first experience. I cleaned up the space prior to putting my furniture in so that killed about 20 minutes from my allotted time. What was once a great experience became poor. A simple check by their staff prior to renting out the equipment could have prevented this.

DAVID ABetter needs be given to this location to stop theft. When I arrived at the UHaul the gas cap was the tank. I put it make on but did not seem to be any gas missing for the guage level when starting the vehicle. Why not put the fences back and put up a double layer fence so if they cut through one chainlink they have another one to tend to. Also put the barb wire along the top of the fence might be a great deterent too. Security should be beefed up to prevent theft. Wilderness Chevron is great UHaul location and love the option. Keep it around for years to come.

Kristi RMy ONLY complaint is that the location to pick up and drop off is not the same so the system would not allow me to start the return at the drop off location. I had already disconnected the trailer from my truck and then had to drive back to the gas station to start my return which meant I wasn't able to add pictures. Customer Service told me to just save the pictures on my phone but it would have been easier to just be able to do the return at the actual pick up and drop off location
Carrie BThe drop-off spot was a different parking lot from the address provided. The guy led me from the gas station to the lot in his truck, which make the drop-off pretty easy.
Ben AThe brakes were really mushy and weak. The windshield was covered in bug splats it was hard to see. There is a constant chime sound when the door is open, even when the motor off, in park, and the key removed. The ignition switch is really touchy and sometimes doesn’t turn with the key.
Ken ZWhen I picked it up there was very little fuel in the tank. I was told that if I brought it back with a little more that I would only pay the day rate. I got a bill for day rate, fuel, and mileage. I called and said that wasn't the deal and I only got back the fuel. I had to pay day rate + mileage. Next time don't say what you can't promise!

Rachel SI picked up the truck which was empty of fuel (registered slightly less than a quarter tank when truck first started). 1/4 tank when you receive, and you return with 1/4 tank. Got 2 miles up the road and the truck registered 9 miles until empty . Put extra fuel, completed the trip and returned the truck before Wilderness Chevron closed. I explained the situation (with photos) and they reimbursed me for the extra fuel (which I did not expect). They are legit! I recommend them. Couldn't ask for more.

Pete GFuel line was cut prior to rental. Had to return truck, transfer load into new truck. Employees gave great customer service and transferred the loaf quickly and efficiently.
