My experience started out terrible. I reserved a truck online at 1091 Wilkes Barre Twp Blvd PA. When I arrived at the store, the girl insisted I needed a truck number before she could release the truck to me. After calling the 800# she provided, and 30 minutes in the store, I left without the truck. I then drove to the Mundy St location in Wilkes Barre PA. The girl Ashley apologized for the experience I had at 1091, and did her best to get me a truck. Although the did not have one at her location, she transferred me to the Pennsylvania Blvd location. Upon arrival, I was treated in a friendly , helpful and professional manner. The guy explained that he doesn't understand why the original location insisted on me providing a truck # , informed me that customers would never receive that information with their reservation. After a horrible start to my experience, it turned out being a great experience thanks to the knowledge and friendly employees at Mundy St and Pennsylvania Blvd locations in Wilkes Barre PA. As for the 1091 Wilkes Barre Twp Blvd location, you may want to think about terming your contract with them. They were rude and unhelpful and just left me leaving with no truck and very annoyed

I used less miles than initially anticipated and I don't see that I am being credited back for the miles I didn't use. The next day I received a phone call from the location saying that I didn't leave the key with the vehicle and that I would be charged for a replacement. After speaking with the gentleman who called, he found the key. Clearly there was either a miscommunication or the location is poorly organized.
Sylvia B.He tried to help us take the car off the dolly and he saw that the van and the dolly were not Align properly therefore we could have been in an accident because of the wheels not being properly stable on your property. He said that we could have even been in a accident because of how he saw my dad Van.

Jason K.When someone pays for extra equipment, such as an equipment dolly, make sure it is in the truck. Mine was not, even though I had paid for it and had my reservation set up a week in advance. When I got in the truck, the gas was almost on E as well. The area was not well lit. When I went to return my truck, I found a homeless man wandering around the area.

Reuven G.When I retruned my rental, Jim was very rude and waited on people calling on the phone before he even greeted me when I arrived this morning to return my rental. He is not a good representative of your company the way he treated me as a customer. He never said good morning, how may I help you, but continued to wait on two different people on his cell phone while I stood there with my paperwork and keys to do my return. In my opinion, the customer who is there should be waited on and the people calling should be put on hold and wait. Jim definitely needs to be trained with some customer service skills while representing your company. I immediately called customer service when I left this location and reported my experience.

Robert W.Rent vehicles that pass basic federal emissions levels. The first vehicle I took the check engine light was on indicating vehicle emissions component failure. The second vehicle had a flat tire. The third and final vehicle was the newest in the fleet. That should've been the first vehicle that was offered to me.

Gary S.What I was told about online checkin and what it really was we're 2 different things. We were there an hour trying to get checked in but kept getting booted out and having to start over. We had 2 phones with different plans so hard to know if it was the web connection or Uhaul's website. Took half an hour before someone answered the phone and they weren't able to help us get checked in. Thankfully the manager of the store came to work early and was able to help. I will not recommend Uhaul unless everything can be done in person.

ROBERT III D.My bill was estimated to be 78 dollars, so it charged me that. After i finished using the uhaul and returned it, the estimated mileage was wrong, so it told me the actual amount was 109. So it changed the previous 78 dollar charge to 109. Then, it also added a bullshit 31 dollar charge on top of it. What the fuck? I will be taking action against this. I want a refund for that extra charge immediately

annie j. | Overall ExperienceWilkes-Barre City Self Storage was great. That guy saved my day however Uhaul was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I rented a 20 foot truck 2 weeks prior. Day before uhaul calls & leaves a message switching me to a 15 foot truck. The only reason I set pick up at this farther location for me was due to the fact it was the only place I could get a 20 ft truck! After over an hour in the viscious never ending uhual customer service call line loop & getting the run around I finally speak to someone & they said they set it up as a 20 & someone would call me shortly. Of course that does not happen. When I go to pick up the uhaul I rented weeks prior the following day it is discovered that not only did they switch to a smaller truck THEY SWITCHED THE DAY!! Changed my reservation to Sunday & NOT ONE SINGLE UHAUL EMPLOYEE THOUGHT TO INFORM THE CUSTOMER OF THIS MASSIVE CHANGE. I was lucky enough that Uhaul graciously screwed over another older couple who cancelled their reservation & switched it to the following day so I was able to drive to a completely different location to get a 15 foot truck. However that place didn't open till 10am so I got to sit around for an hour & wait. Absolutely terrible service.

john C.The trailer fenders were to tall for me to open the doors once I pulled my vehicle on to it. So I had to climb out the window and wasn't able to get window up fully and it rained during my trip so the inside of my vehicle got wet. With that happening I am very upset and will never rent another car carrier from uhaul again!!! For the amount I paid and the inconvenience of having to drive an extra 50 miles to get a car trailer I am not happy with the trailer/experience at all!!! The facility I picked it up from was very accommodating and friendly! But the over all experience with uhaul was bad!!!

Jose G.There was a miscommunication with my Uhaul days needed. Upon asking if there was any way to change my reservation to only consist of one day, I was rudely told no. I did not need the truck for two days, and not to mention the drop off location I had originally selected said I was not able to drop off my vehicle on sunday there anyway. So instead of dropping off the Uhaul 3 miles away from my new home, I had to drive an additional 15 miles.

HUASCARD P.I wouldn't recommend for the exact fact that they say “19.95 for the 24 hours†but what they don't add is you pay for your own gas , you pay the $20 for the truck , ANDDD u get the ‘great' luxury of paying $2 per mile. Paid $350 for 2 hours , and used a quarter tank of gas.
