I arrived at location 10 mins before my pick up time (2:30pm) and the Uhaul rep was not at his desk. I didn't know what to do so I called in and they said I should have a PIN number to get the key from a box but that was never explained that this location did not have a counter service. By the time they got me the key it was 3:00pm. I feel like the process could have been explained better before me arriving on site.Juan Carlos M.

The problem I had was with the automated check-out and check-in. I had entered all my information (licence 2x and credit card) prior to arriving to pick up the vehicle. I then had to enter my licence again. I was asked to provide one of several items ( business/ passport/ contact person). This was not a business rental so I was not giving my employer (government employee). Who carries their passport with them to pick up a rental??? Really?? I finally provided my daughter's contact information supposedly to be contacted in case I didn't return the vehicle. Then the screen said that I was waiting to be verified?? Why was my licence and credit card not enough? Then I got a message that they were trying to call my daughter. She has chronic illness and was sound asleep in bed when they tried to call her .. I was not told they would be doing this â€¦ very glad I didn't give my employer info. I had to phone several times and wake up my daughter so they could call her again. That was absolutely ridiculous!!! This process took over 1/2 an hour and made me late for the pickup I was doing. Upon return of the vehicle I also had difficulty. When I entered the Kilometres on the vehicle it said I couldn't enter an amount that was less than I took the vehicle with. I figured out that it was asking for miles and being in Canada, the vehicle was in kilometres. I called the 800 number and the associate told me I just had to convert it to miles. Really???? Why should I have to do that? I don't know the conversion rate!!! She proceeded to rhyme off the formula. Are you kidding? I'm supposed to do that in my head. She finally did the conversion, I entered it and got the same error message. She told me to take a photo of the mileage on the vehicle. I tried but the odometer is digital. When you try to take a photo it shows the refreshing and won't take a photo of the entire number. I can't be the first person who has had this issue! Needless to say, while the vehicle was fine â€¦ your online checkout and checkin process needs serious help. Debbie MoxamDebbie M.

We had to drive an hour and a half to get to this location for our pick up. We asked if the truck had been cleaned/sterilized, your rep stated "Yes, I cleaned the steering wheel". LIKE REALLY! in this time of covid he cleaned the steering wheel; the inside of the truck was filthy, dirty floor mats, coffee & pop spilt on the seats, floor and dash; we had to clean and sterilize it ourselves / then we find inside the box was full of dirt and trash / this was totally unacceptable.Dave H.

Don't send someone moving within Hamilton to pick up a truck 40 minutes away in Paris. Especially when they book a month in advance. Also he wasn't wearing a mask. When I tried to confirm I was dropping off the truck at 1580 Main St W he said it wasn't coming up on his computer. What's the point of making a reservation if your incompetent company changes everything?Owen H.

Let's see. Despite the $19.99 van claim, was charged $118.00. Had van for 6 hours, drove less than 100km. Charged $118.00. Does not make sense. For less than half the cost, got a van from a rental agency in Brantford. Misleading advertising. Shame.adam J.

Do what you say you do an actually clean the vehicles on the interior. The vehicle was a new vehicle and was absolutely disgusting on the interior and I don't believe that it's been cleaned since it was purchased. Given the current state of the world I feel like absolutely nothing was done to protect mejohn C.

I gave 25 days notice to rent a 26' truck. What they had ready for me was a 20' ft. We had to make double the trips to complete our move also we had to drive to Paris and pick it up when I had ordered it in Brantford.Daryl M.

This Paris, Ontario U-Haul pick up location did not have a computer printer . Did not provide a contract as per protocol. So I would say: Do bring your own printed contract to this location! Even if you check in on line prior which did or doesn't help at this location. It will take 45 mins at this location to get going with this location. At every location & discussion with Uhaul representative it was " their U-Haul companies computer system was down at every stop & location for the past 7 days. If a location of pick up is next to your home & your going one way trip with a truck your forced to go 10 km to another city to pick up your rented vehicle. Convenient for U-Haul only!bernadine H.

Uhau'l's process of rental using cell camera to confirm drivers license, email or text msg to confirm pick up & return and text msg to inform there is an extra $20.00 charge if you don't confirm return by text, is a slow and inconvenient process. Next time I would use cash, no credit card, no cell number and no email address.Allan T.
