We looked at the website and google and it said the business was opened until 8 p.m. We arrived 2 days early to drop off the truck and around 6:15 p.m. and the business was closed. We tried to call several times and no message machine or forwarding calls. We parked the truck and trailer over to the side but close to the building. Did not leave the key because we are new to the area and did not see a drop box to leave it in. We live 2 miles from the company and my husband was on his way to drop off the keys before 8 a.m. when the business was to open. On his way, there the owner of the business called and started yelling at him about where he parked the truck. He said he would be there in less than 2 minutes. Owner still was ranting when my husband dropped off the key. NO customers were around and it looked like the business had just opened. We were trying to be considerate to drop of the key before the business became active hence driving that way when receiving the call. We brought an extra trailer to this facility because U-haul asked us to do so.We were actually doing the owner a favor. We also will be dropping off over 4 more trucks in the next year but we may need to find a different U-Haul location a little further away to drop the truck off at. I hate to move back to an area my husband and I grew up in and currently have family in and know this is the service we received. It especially looks bad to greet a new resident to the area with anger and ranting. Maybe the owner was having a bad day but to a new customer his actions were horrible.

Nobody was there to complete the rental transaction. Waited 30 + minutes and ended up calling for help at U-Haul Huntsville. I had to connect the trailer myself and make all safety checks. Not reliable place if business.

Emory MI was threatened with stealing the truck and arrest when I did not return it at 8:30 a.m. I was informed by employees of Extreme Equipment I had ruined their day and put them out by having someone drive 40 minutes to get another truck for someone, when I didn't return the one I rented. To me that is poor management to rent it before it is returned without inspecting the truck, to make sure it is rentable. I had overslept due to cleaning out 6 storage units the day before. I paid around 68.00 when it was rented, and when they ran my card a second time, it was declined due to being locked. I was informed to "get to unloading" the truck and get it back to them and bring another card. I told them I had cash, and was informed they do not take cash when renting the uhaul equipment. When I tried to explain the "issue" they were having with the card on file, I was told it wasn't their problem, that I had ruined their, and other people's day. So I, a 57 year old woman on BP meds and my 50 year old sister with muscle issues did not wait for help to arrive, due to threat of arrest for stealing a truck, and fraud, because my card declined, unloaded the truck in 90+ degree weather, and then got my card issue taken care of. Upon returning the truck, my card (same card) was charged $305.00 for miles and fees, with the total rental $372. On the upside, they did not charge me Friday mileage rates and it was one of the best trucks I had ever driven. I highly recommend the TT3059E truck. Smooth ride and for $80.71 in fuel, I put over 300 miles on it.

CLARENCE SThey wanted me to hook it up myself. I've never done this before. Electrical connection wasn't there. We had to go back in the store for one. He handed tome and left. I installed it, and the left blinker wouldn't work. By this time, it was raining. He acted like he was "put out" that he had to help keep again. He got it working, but it stopped shortly afterwards.

RICHARD SThe lady that helped me was wonderful. Her boss, Mr Military Macho Man, was unfriendly, harsh, abrupt, and would not print me a receipt. He told me the “paperwork” was for them, not the customer. He did get the rental complete but I would not recommend his store because of him, NOT his employees as they were great. His demeanor was so unfriendly. If I had not had interaction with him, I would have recommended it to someone but after dealing with him, I would not. His store hours were also incorrectly displayed on the store and he was gruffy on the phone as well. Note for Uhaul in general: it would be great to have a fold out step for driver side and passenger side for older or disabled drivers or passengers to get in and out of the truck. Driver of the truck!

Clem HI wasn't told to check my phone for the U-Haul app to check the status of the equipment before pickup. I only saw the text some hours later when we were in a location without cell service.

Carol WYou make someon use an app to pick up and return vehicle but if U-Haul enters wrong info there is no way to correct it through the app and customer service does not help either.
