Building History

Applied Control Technology was the last known tenant to the property on 5005 N State Line Avenue and operated their headquarters out of the building. ACT was founded by Duane Corcoran in 1983 in Texarkana, Texas. Aerious was the holding company for ACT and also operated out of the State Live Avenue building.

Applied Control Technology specialized in engineering services, using their expertise in industrial automation to be able to implement turn-key projects and provide optimization. ACT boasted experience working in several different industries including oil, gas, mining, aggregates, pulp, paper, and nuclear power generation.

In 2008, ACT was sold to CYMI Industrial, a subsidiary of Grupo ACS, from Madrid Spain. The company suffered under the new management and eventually dissolved.

The Applied Control Technology The 5005 N State Line Avenue building was built in 1965 by Walsh-Lumpkin, a pharmaceutical distribution company. U-Haul acquired the property for adaptive reuse in 2015.
