I am writing regarding my recent van rental and the experience I had at this location. When obtaining the vehicle, I asked the representative to add 10 miles to the current mileage because I was unsure of my exact mileage calculation. This is something I normally do when renting a vehicle to make sure I am accounting for any discrepancy. Instead, the representative added 20 miles. When I pointed this out and asked for it to be corrected, he refused to make the adjustment. Additionally, immediately upon receiving the van, the dashboard indicated that the left tire had low air pressure. This was the condition of the vehicle when it was provided to me. During my rental, I transported only one item in the van—a mattress that was completely enclosed in a mattress bag. I returned the vehicle, and when I later received my emailed receipt, I was extremely surprised to see that I had been charged a cleaning fee. I would like an explanation as to what specifically required cleaning and why I was charged this fee. Given that the only item placed inside the van was a mattress protected by a mattress bag, I do not believe this charge is justified. This is not my first time renting from your company, but unfortunately, it will be my last time renting from this location. Between the mileage issue, being provided a vehicle with low tire pressure, and then receiving an unexpected cleaning charge, I am very disappointed with how this rental was handled. I am requesting that a manager please contact me directly to discuss this experience and review the cleaning fee.
