What Uhaul can do to improve for the next person is actually have the truck that was reserved in the location it was reserved to be picked up at instead of letting the person know late the afternoon before they are scheduled to pick the truck up at 8am that there aren't any trucks. They can also adequately compensate the person when they have to drive 3 hours and 20 minutes round trip to pick ip a truck and get it to the location they are moving from. FYI reducing miles charged doesn't cover the extra gas for both the automobile the person drives and the truck. While the location in Brainerd was good and the truck was clean and had a full tank and I would recommend the location to people-I wouldn't recommend UHAUL to anyone after my experience. If I can plan ahead for a big move-Uhaul should be able to plan ahead for the reservations people make!!!

The pickup location was fine; however, based on my recent experience, I would not recommend U-Haul. When the vehicle broke down in West Virginia during extreme heat, U-Haul required me to use the mobile app before providing assistance, despite the area having poor cellular service. Once a replacement vehicle was provided, I was denied additional assistance with transferring my belongings between vehicles. To make matters worse, I was later charged for additional mileage and fuel, even though I returned the replacement vehicle with more fuel than it had when I received it. Finally, there was no follow-up from U-Haul after the breakdown to check on the situation or ensure the issue had been resolved. Overall, the lack of customer support during a stressful roadside breakdown and the additional charges left me very dissatisfied with the experience.
