No one was there to greet us when we went to pick up the truck. The man apparently was out that day on an emergency so another man took my information over the phone. We had to move a trailer and three garbage cans to get to the truck very inconvenient. The lock on the passenger door was broken. It was a total Inconvenience so disgusted with the whole experience I will NEVER recommend U-Haul in Garfield to anyone

Excellent help to get a last minute trailer. Also a huuuuge shoutout to the young lady at the north Bergen location that went above and beyond to assist me in locating a trailer!!!!
Edward JThe guy working there tried to hustle us $25 and only wanted it in cash to put our car on the trailer. We spent 30 -45 minutes with customer service to get some answers, because we rented from uhaul in the exact situation in the past and this was never an issue! Especially when it comes to basic safety. This experience really turned me off ever using uhaul in the future. Every time we had an issue there was at least 2-3 connections we had to go through just to find the person who could actually help. The customer service at Uhaul locations are none existent and it’s such a shame! This is by FAR the worst company I’ve done business with in years!!
