Very odd U-Haul facility. This is another business with U-Haul as a side gig.
David BI reserved the trailer starting at 10:00am. I arrived at 10:00am, did the online check-in, but no one was present at the location. I waited until around 10:15 and decided to call the contact number. I was told that it would be about 15 minutes more. Typically, 30 minutes is not a huge deal to me, however, I was on a significant time crunch. I rented the trailer to help my friend escape a DV situation and we had a very tight timeframe to get her things out safely. This added extra stress and caused us to have to really hurry to get to her apartment and get her out. The equipment worked great and I appreciated that I did not have to hook and unhook the trailer from the hitch, thus my Average rating and not a Poor rating. If I am in a time crunch again, I will plan to use a different location that sticks to my reserved time.
Cassandra BI really don't know how to accurately express my engagement with my recent rental. I reserved a truck at noon at the Millard location as the truck would have been within 50 feet of the property I was moving. The morning of the rental I received a notice, approx. 1.2 hours before my pick up time, that I was now to pick up an hour later in Gretna. I therefore had to factor in a new departure along with additional miles driven to not only pickup the rental vehicle but then the overal drive in the UHaul truck was more mileage than anticipated. Had I been able to drive a truck from the Millard location I would have maintained the original estimate of only 80 miles. I have now received a receipt for 97 miles, which was approximately $25 more. It is an unfortunate circumstance.
Susan SThe location is not visibly marked, aside from the key drop. The location is located back in between a couple buildings off an already back road. Location is essentially a body shop. The gentleman is potentially friendly enough - he really doesn't greet you and doesnt cover any of the paperwork. He just printed up the contract and handed me the key. He did not review any of the details of the contract. When I asked about parking my car at the location, I had to remove it from the "front" and place it in the back gravel area amongst other U-Haul and non U-Haul equipment. He seemed bothered that Iwould have to leave a vehicle, but how could I drive two. I tried to inform him of a rental period update - that I would be returning on Sunday - I picked up at 2:00 Friday, June 12th and returned 1:00 Sunday, June 14th. this was only two days and he said it would be 3. I was charged for 3 days. I did not sign up for Safe Move and was never asked about that but it appears that I was charged for it.
