How U-Haul Reviews WorkMoving is a stressful activity with renting a moving van being at the top of the stress list. UHaul;s website made the reservation process super simple and also reminded me of other things that I would need like moving blankets that I did not think of. The location in Lakeville was conveniently located right off of 495 and near a gas station so refilling the gas tank was simple. The UHaul office was very well organized and clean. It smelled like clean hospital room. The office was staffed by Matt who helped me with the remainder of the paperwork and offered me a larger van for the same price which I ended up really needing. I mentioned to Matt that I needed to donate some furniture to Savers and he told me that their UHaul location accepts furniture donations a that benefits the local Best Buddies chapter. This option saved me an extra trip with additional mileage. I simply loaded the donated furniture onto the van first and left it when I returned the truck. The van was very clean and updated. There was a rear camera which was crucial to backing up the van. It was much simpler to drive than I thought. Most importantly, the brakes were solid which is important for such a heavy vehicle. I was a bit anxious driving a large van but given the dimensions of the van, it was rather straightforward. The return process was also stress-free. They provide a graph that tells you how much gasoline is needed based on the fuel gauge and it was spot on. Otherwise, I would have had to guess and constantly check. I simply returned the keys to Matt and my receipt was delivered by email a few hours later. One last minor point is that the keys were encased in a very handy key holder with a clip-on loop that I used to attach to a belt loop. I know that this is small but it reduced the bulk on my pant pockets and made locking and unlocking the doors much quicker. I recently retired and I hope that I do not have to move ever again. But if I did have to move, I will not be as anxious knowing that UHaul has vehicles and services to make the effort simpler. Thank you UHaul of Lakeville!
Frank YPay closer attention to fuel gauge
Joseph Cit's not the facility, it's the APP that is the problem. It is cumbersome and NOT user friendly. It was a total headache to pick up the rental and also to return it. Kept returning to the same screen over and over, and when trying to call the customer service number was told hold time would be over an hour. BRING BACK HUMAN BEINGS AND LONGER OFFICE HOURS or make the app easier/more functional.
Lauren DLocation is not open on Sunday so you have to pay a $20 fee when you return a vehicle on that day. We shouldn't have a penalty because they are not open. Also the app rarely works properly.
