Our pickup location was changed to a location approximately 25 miles away from our hometown. This added about 40 minutes of travel time each way, since that is where the items we were moving were located. The original pickup location was supposed to be in our hometown. Even more frustrating is that we were then told we were limited to 80 miles and would be charged additional fees if we exceeded that mileage. Any additional mileage was directly related to the fact that U-Haul changed our pickup location. We should not be penalized for mileage that resulted from a change made by U-Haul. This was a very inconvenient and frustrating experience.
