The gal who helped me was super friendly and helpful. I hope I don't have to travel that far again, but if I did, I'd feel confident my needs would be met there. I was disappointed that I had to drive an hour away to pick up the equipment I had scheduled to pick up in Lawrence, KS. This location doesn't have dollies or blankets, but the guy at the Lawrence location assured me they had plenty and I could come pick them up at the original time I'd reserved. Got there with my truck from Lansing, and they did not in fact have any dollies (standard or furniture). We were lucky that the additional drive from Lansing back to Lawrence didn't put us over the allowed mileage. Again, not a knock against the Lansing location, just against U-Haul in general for not having anything that I'd reserved at the location I'd reserved it.

I was needing to move out two kids from their apartment and relocate them back home and I was needing a trailer and a temporary storage unit. My stress level was high to trying how to do this in a college town - getting trailer for the day and a storage unit at a different location. I called UHAUL inquiring about the cost of renting a trailer and dropping it off at a different location and the person on the phone stated that UHAUL was running a deal for a free month of storage for an out of town move and this covered all my concerns. UHAUL Saved the Day!
