How U-Haul Reviews WorkFriendly staff. Your system sucks!!!! And Hines self storage U-Haul SUCKS too because they aren’t ever there yet advertise that they are! You’re technology fails every Saturday at 10am and make the user do all of the work that U-Haul used to do for customers. It’s horrible
Lindsay HUnfortunately, when we finally checked in and picked up our truck, we discovered that both the check engine light and tire pressure light were on. This was definitely not a good feeling, especially since we were doing an after-hours pickup and had to travel with the truck. We were offered a 20-foot truck as a replacement, but it was entirely too big for what we needed, and I’m sure it would have used much more gas. Because of that, we had no choice but to take the original truck and check the tires ourselves before getting on the road. What was even more concerning was finding out when we returned the truck that they were already aware of the check engine light. We were told that it was too expensive to fix and that U-Haul had previously checked the truck and returned it with the check engine light still on. As a paying customer, especially one traveling with the vehicle, I feel like these things should be taken care of before a truck is rented out. The customer service at the location could have also been better. One of the employees walked right in without even acknowledging or greeting us. I will say that the U-Haul representative we spoke with through the 1-800 number was very helpful. She did everything she could to assist us and try to resolve the situation, and we truly appreciated her help. Overall, the condition of the truck and knowing the issues were already known made this experience disappointing and concerning from a safety standpoint.
