ERIK OI reserved a truck through U-Haul.com a week in advance to my move. I got a call a day before my move telling me because of rental truck availability, my reservation was transferred to another pickup location. That’s fine. I go to self service pickup at this location and my truck was parked behind a locked gate. Went inside to ask for help and the man at the desk and he brought the truck around to the front. I took photos of all areas of the truck and noticed the truck had some warning lights on the dashboard but figured the guy giving me the truck knew about it and it was fine. I drove the truck 2 miles to where I was moving from and parked the truck and turned it off to load up. After loading the truck, I went to turn on the truck to leave to my other location and it was dead. Not turning over at all. I called the location where I picked up the vehicle and told them what was happening. They said they would call dispatch and that dispatch would get to me. No mention of timing or if anyone is actually coming to help me. I get a stranger to help me jumpstart the truck and it’s not working after 20minutes of attempting to jumpstart. No call from dispatch. So I call the location again. He says that now he will call dispatch and have them call me. I finally get the jumpstart and then after driving a little ways they call me back and tell me I have to call roadside assistance to get help. Because I got it jumpstarted I didn’t need their help anymore but I also couldn’t turn off the vehicle in order to fill the tank to their standards. I want a refund.
