The College Avenue Location, The Rental Place was , was fine, and this review should not affect them negatively at all. The man at the counter was very nice indeed and very courteous. We have used UHAUL Trucks for moving house at least 5 times in the last 40 years every time we moved, without any issues. Our overall experience with the UHAUL Company this latest time has been HORRIBLE and we will never use this company again. Our reservation was changed 2 times without our permission. With the first change we were given a deal of .60 per mile (down from $1.39), for changing FROM the Southpoint Blvd, Petaluma, location, TO the North Petaluma Blvd, to which we agreed. On 8/27/26 I called the number that was texted to me, for the N. Petaluma Blvd. location to confirm our pick up date of Friday, 8/28/26, and found that the number was NOT IN SERVICE. I looked up the number for that location and it was the same number that was texted to me previously. I then call the Southpoint location and was told the Scheduling had "stolen" our reservation from them and assigned our reservation to the Petaluma Blvd. address. When I asked what to do, I was provided the number for the scheduling department. I called and spoke to a very nice lady named Lindsey, and reported the bad number, and made arrangements to pick up a truck at the King's Tires location on Santa Rosa Ave. (a much more convenient locations for us), in Santa Rosa, at 8:30 am the next day; SHE EVEN HONORED THE .60 PER MILE DEAL. On 8/28/26, we arrived at the Santa Rosa location, where I intended to drop my husband off and go on to my job located less than 3 MINUTES AWAY. We were told at the counter that we had NO RESERVATION AT THAT LOCATION!!! Apparently, our reservation had been SWITCHED BACK TO PETALUMA'S SOUTHPOINT LOCATION!!!! This was done WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE!!! There was NOT 1 TRUCK available at the Santa Rosa Ave. location for us. I called the Scheduling department and, after much arguing with the representative was FINALLY allowed to speak to a manager, Viansa, who made a vehicle at the College Avenue Location, which now made me an HOUR LAATE FOR WORK, as I HAD TO DRIVE MY HUSBAND THERE, AND THEN BACK TO MY JOB. She did not want to honor the .60 per mile deal, but after MUCH MORE DEBATE, She agreed. I said we might need the truck on both Saturday and Sunday as well, but would return it sometime before it would be due on Sunday, which was agreed upon, both by Viansa and the man at the College Avenue location. The ruck had only 3/8 of a tank of gas. On 8/30/26, Sunday morning, I received a text stating that the truck was due to be returned between 10 AM and 8 PM that evening. We filled the tank on this vehicle to 1/2 a TANK, and arrived at the College Avenue location at approximately 7:1 PM, only to find it was closed and the fencing was locked. I immediately called the scheduling department and was told we would have to keep the truck until morning, which was UNACCEPTABLE - My husband had already arrived at the King's Tires location on Santa Rosa Avenue, while I was on the phone with your people. WE HAD NO CHOICE but to return the truck to the King's Tires location on Santa Rosa Avenue (also closed). As they had no fence, we were able to drop the keys in their lock box. The next day I was charged over $310.00 (it was supposed to be only $20.95 per day + the $30 insurance +.60 per mile, and taxes) NOW THEY WERE CHARGING US $1.00 per MILE!! I have disputed this charge with my credit card company! This has been the WORST experience ever!! BEWARE!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM UHAUL SERVICE IN THE PETALUMA OR SANTA ROSA LOCATIONS!!!!!!!

Alexander LI was very disappointed with the lack of customer service at this location. Staff was not friendly, nor did they take any time to explain basic information about my rental, such as the return process or cost breakdown. I had to take initiative to ask questions after their dismissive response. I will not be back.
