I arranged to have a U Haul 15 ft truck ready for me to pick up at 7:00 a,m, at a U Haul outlet a few blocks from my son's apartment on a Friday morning. I had flown in the day before to move him as we wanted to have him loaded up in a few hours and to be on my way since it was a long 26 hour drive. When I landed at the airport I got a call from U Haul stating that my pick up location had been changed. It was still supposed to be at 7:00 a.m. but at another location farther from my son's apartment. As it turns out we were there at 7:00 a.m. sharp but nobody was there. We tried phoning the number on the door but got no answer. WE found out later that nobody was going to be at that location anyways. Several hours later I finally got to talk to someone at U Haul who directed me to another location even farther away from my son's apartment. After several Uber rides I was finally able to pick up the U Haul truck and take it to my son's apartment for loading. I ended up getting on the road eight hours later than anticipated and forced to face rush hour traffic to start my journey home. Needless to say, I was not very impressed with the runaround that I got. The truck that I was given gave me no problems on the ride back, however.
