I rented a storage unit 2 years ago & finally was able to get all of my things. But I ran into a few issues, I had 2 locks on my storage unit & Was told they needed to get the keys from somewhere up the road & I waited 30 mins nobody showed up. Then the next day I go & they open at 7am but whoever had the key wasn’t in until 830. So I had to wait again. Finally I got into my unit & moved everything out & I had a mattress. I was well aware of not leaving it there. The storage worker was giving attitude bc she thought I was going to leave it there. Then I couldn’t throw away trash in the bin bc it was locked l. She told I couldn’t throw away trash & at that point she was following me around everywhere I went. I was uncomfortable & was trying to rush out of there. Customer Service is lacking. I am very disappointed. I would NOT recommend.

But I had to go to five different places here in Albuquerque before I found the one that had my storage unit I needed. I was told when I reserve the truck everything was set. I can go straight to the storage unit unload to a street level storage unit and leave the truck there. Well that didn’t happen. I went to five places here in Albuquerque for the U-Haul storage unit. Which is totally insane. I don’t know how to answer these questions because some of them were friendly, some of them were not friendly. So I’m just not gonna answer. I’m not sure I would even recommend you all again. And then you overcharged me by adding on another day, which I believe shouldn’t happened. So I don’t know what you wanna say. I’m just very disappointed in U-Haul.

KATHRYN R | First ImpressionsI rented a 10x10 storage unit online but arrived the next day with my first set of boxes to find that I was given two 5 x 5 units without being told beforehand. This seems to undermine any contract I signed as I was not made aware of this and signed up for a bigger space to accommodate furniture. The smaller spaces will not be adequate. No one explained to me how to enter the building even though I went to the actual office. They also did not explain that I had been given two smaller, separate units, and when I asked about the incorrect storage space size afterward, I was told that they didn’t have any 10 x 10 units available. If that is the case, you should not be renting them on the website and should be upfront with your customers. I am very unhappy with this U-Haul site and its customer service.

Was told to chill the F out “ I’m straight tripping “ because i had issues getting into my storage for 4 days and hung up on me told me call bk when i have a better day . . My access code wasn’t working they stop answering my calls to get the issue fix so I had to contact upper management n they called them personally n got it handled n was now being nice n helpful when management got involved! Do not recommend. And the homeless lives all on that area sidewalks . Gates don’t work to lock you in safe.
