My husband and I moved all of our belongings into storage for a short time while we were waiting for military movers to pick them up, we had to switch our storage unit to a larger size and we went into the store and had it switched and they told us we wouldn’t have to worry about the move out process and that they had done it. One month later we got charged, they hadn’t moved us out, I called and it took 2 weeks of repeatedly calling to get refunded for that unit. I decided to turn off the auto pay for the larger storage unit and we did the move out process for that one and it said that it just needed to be approved by the staff, 2 days later it said that I needed to make a payment for that one because it had not been moved out, I called and they said that they just hadn’t approved it and that it would be a few days. If I hadn’t turned off my auto pay I would’ve been charged once again for a storage unit that I had moved out of. The staff was condescending and seemed like they did not care at all, specifically the manager. I was very disappointed as I have had many good U-Haul experiences.

They honestly need serious raises. Your company and reputation is only as good as the PEOPLE who work it for you...boots on the ground staff!! THAT is the people you have there. I know, I have moved from Texas to Maine, and am moving back to Texas. NOT small moves. Also to Canada and back to bring things to family. They have helped with boxes, wraps, mattress covers, locks, Storage units big and small, the U Pack boxes, transport equip like Dollies, help with ramps, small trucks, vans, big trucks, car dolly...truck around town, open trailer to move appliances. There is NOTHING they cannot help with, and happy to do it!! I am a customer for the last 3 years I've been here in Bangor area...I cannot recommend them enough! Thanks
