Larry Quick Florence South Carolina I am 76 years old and have been using U-Haul service for almost 50 years. My experience with this company has always been GREAT. I find their convenient locations and knowledgeable employees to be the best product for the money. My latest opportunity to deal with U-Haul was in September 2022 when I moved to Florence S.C. I needed to rent storage space for a brief time because the home we were moving into was not quite finished. I located my nearest U-Haul located at 2020 W. Evans Street managed by Alyssa Bennett. I told Alyssa my situation was to need a large enough unit to whole a 3-bedroom house. No problem, she said and quickly assigned me a unit to fit my needs, then said you know your first month is free. I really couldn’t believe my ears, I expected the unit to cost several hundred dollars, and she just told me it was free. Now I knew I was only going to need the unit for only 3 weeks at best. Sure enough 3 weeks to the day I was able to come back and empty out the unit and not owe a cent. How about that. I of course rented the truck i needed to complete my move from Alyssa and she even found me a couple of guys to help with the move. Now that’s what I call going above and beyond. At the end of my move, I wound up having some extra items I needed to store so guess who I got that extra storage from. You bet Alyssa Bennett. I have maintained an indoor storage unit now with this location for nearly 3 years and have been able to bring things in or take things out at my convenience because they have a computer-generated entry system that allows me to visit on my own schedule. I would advise anyone who needs moving or storage facilities in the Florence S.C. area to contact Alyssa Bennett the General manager at 2020 West Evans Street Florence S.C. The facility is centrally located with easy access to a large well-maintained lot with plenty of inventory of trucks, trailers and automobile haulers. Inside you will find a well-organized supply room of everything you could possibly want to move or store. You will also find a courteous staff willing to give you prompt service. Last of all you will find Alyssa Bennet one of the best managers I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.

KEITH B | Overall ExperienceThe staff at U-Haul are phenomenal! The only issue I had is three rest room back in the storage area was a nightmare! The toilet was up to the brim and the smell was horrendous. As far as I know, it still isn’t repaired.
MARGARET S | Overall ExperienceThere are homeless people living in the inside units and it made me nervous to go in there alone. I have brought this to the manager of the facility and have also contacted the home office but nothing was done. Their shopping carts with their belonging are in view and I was told as long as they paid the rent they had a right to be there. I moved my things to another facility.

james j | Online Move InI wish the storage units were larger. The cost per sq. footage is pretty high for the outdoor units. Also there was some issues with me getting the U-Boxes at first, so I switched to the normal storage unit instead. It was a little frustrating, but the staff was great and helpful.
