Continued General Manager McCray at the worst be fired and at the low end be demoted. Even right now, I have never gotten an apology, and he should be made to apologize. He was not ready for management. He did not show respect or shut his mouth until I told him my brother would be calling, and I would make sure something happened with him. It gets betterWhen I got home, I called customer service and talked to a lovely lady named Sara. I told her my story, and she looked into the system. She told me she did not know how this happened, because she could see everything, including the last payment in the system. This is the same system that the Ocala and Gainesville managers had access to when they rented the unit to the other customer. My information was just taken out of the system, I still had time on my unit, and the account was not in default. This looks illegal. After all, I believe I would have continued to be charged, because my information was still in the main system as the renter. I am pretty sure I am not the first person this has happened to. I was robbed and treated like crap by management. I hope someone calls me, because I am not taking this, and there will be a call tomorrow. Also, this incident has been escalated to the management team, and I have the record number.

I’m figuring I wasn't the first to experience this, but I want to make sure I'm the last. I do not believe the executive team is unaware of what their employees are doing. Their behaviors could have legal consequences, and they could damage the brand. Cancel culture and social media are real. So, I am giving the upper management team a heads up, so they can course correct. On 4/12/2025, I went to U-Haul to rent storage space. I needed a climate-controlled space to put my overflow of clothing in. The place was rented, it was on the lower level, and in front of the building. I did not put anything in the space or put my lock on, because I was not ready to move anything in. I am currently renovating my home. 6/2/2025, now I am ready to start moving my things in. I gave my friend some items to move into my storage space. He called me and asked for the unit number. I forgot the number, so I went to U-Haul to retrieve the number. Now, mind you, I have autopay, I have a receipt in my email, that the payment was successfully taken out of my account on 5/12/2025, and the next payment will be taken out on 6/12/2025.General Manager McCray Nightmare!I am of color, I am a medical professional, and my brother and cousin are attorneys. I should not have to wear my credentials to get respect. I feel as though anyone who walks into the store and has been wronged should get respect. I can say this: when some people of color get management positions, they are very demeaning to other people of color. After I finish this story, you will understand why I say this. I went to the counter to retrieve my unit number, and he told me I was not in the system. I asked how that could be possible because I have last month's receipt, and I showed it to him. He looked in the system, and found a manager from Ocala took me out of the system and rented it to someone on 6/4/2025. I asked him how he was going to fix this, because they rented my unit to someone else. Now, mind you, I am upset and frustrated. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. Then I stated, “How can you do that and nobody looked into check?” He stated very condescending tone, “I don’t have anything to do with this, and did you have a lock on it.” Hold up, you're in breach of contract in the 1s place, 2nd, I paid this month’s rent, and someone else is in my space, 3rd, you are the general manager, and no apology, 4th why does it matter if I had a lock on it, the space was paid for and I was not in default. General manager McCray treated me like I was a second-class citizen. If this was not bad enough, it gets better. I was thinking he was working on fixing things. 2 white customers walked in, and he stopped with me, and started renting units. Then he started talking to the employee who was sitting on the side of him. Now I am angry, and I started calling my brother, but he is on vacation. I could not get a hold of him, so I asked, “What is your name so I can have my attorney call you and take care of this. Then he said, “Oh, I cannot talk to lawyers; your lawyer will have to talk to the president of the company.” I tried calling his number, but I did not get an answer tonight. I was wearing a t-shirt and some shorts today. I should not have to wear my credentials or tell that some of my family members are attorneys to be treated like a human and get respect. I treat patients all day long, and it is not easy. My job is very stressful, and what I don’t need in my off hours is more stress. I work in customer services, though I have patients, they are still customers, and I would never treat anyone the way I was treated. I finally asked him what is going to be the resolution and he stated,” I have another unit upstairs, because I cannot move the customer who is currently in my rental unit, which I paid for.” I am thinking, “Really!” I told him, I am not going upstairs, I paid for this unit on 4/12, and this was rented again on 6/4. This looks like double dipping, which is illegal. I was so outraged by his behavior, I told him you will hear from my attorney, and I am going to make sure someone is fired for this. He dared to ask what I had to do with this? I told him, every person of color who comes into this store is not the same, because I have seen this behavior from my own people. You have been rude, unapologetic, you took 2 other clients, talked to your employee while I was sitting there waiting, never called customer service or his boss to fix the situation, and made it appear as though I had to take anything. The month is not even over, and I still have 10 days on the unit that someone else is in. Now imagine if I had not gone there today. I still would have been paying for a unit that I do not have access to, and someone else is in it. General Manager McCray at the worst be fired and at the
