PATRICIA V | Overall ExperienceI was notified that my units were going to be auctioned off. I was told that if I figured out payment by Sunday the 10th by 4pm, then would be able to stop the auction. I emailed information on Sunday, in the morning close to 10am with all the information regarding payment, which is obviously prior to the 4pm. Evidently, the email wasn't opened Monday am prior to 8am when the auction was to take place, so.... my units were sold. I don't feel as though this was correct. I believe that my units were sold out from under me. This may be just my feeling but, I believe that the email should have sufficed as notification. Just because I didn't phone, shouldn't have made the decision of my units being sold. My whole life was in my two units (1190 & 1489) and I was getting ready to move out of the units anyway to my new home. I have reached out to U-Haul regarding the possibility reaching out to the person who purchased the units to see if able to work something out with him but have not gotten any response. Thank you.
