JENNIFER L | First ImpressionsSubject: Facility Accessibility Issue – Difficulty with Building Entrance and Loading Zone Dear U-Haul Facility Management Team, I am writing to bring a significant accessibility and safety issue to your attention regarding the entrance layout at your storage facility. I recently completed my move-in to my unit, and the process was made unnecessarily difficult and frustrating due to the layout of the cement sidewalk and the loading zone entrance. Specifically, the entrance onto the sidewalk does not align with the sliding doors of the building. Because the sidewalk ramp/entrance is off-center, it is impossible to wheel a loaded moving dolly straight into the facility. Instead, customers are forced to navigate a clumsy maneuver: pulling the dolly far to the left side of the sliding door entrance, and then awkwardly steering a heavy load around the yellow concrete safety posts just to get inside. This layout presents several clear issues: Physical Strain: Maneuvering heavily loaded, wide dollies at tight angles on a narrow walkway is incredibly difficult and causes unnecessary physical exertion. Safety Hazard: Forcing customers to pivot heavy items around concrete bollards increases the risk of the dolly tipping over, potentially causing personal injury or property damage. Inconvenience: It significantly slows down the moving process, which is already a time-sensitive and stressful task. As a paying customer, I expect a facility designed to accommodate smooth loading and unloading. I kindly ask that management reviews this entrance layout and considers implementing a solution—such as widening the sidewalk ramp or adjusting the barrier placement—to allow for a direct, straight path into the sliding doors.
