Alexie P | Overall ExperienceFirst, the lighting and air circulation on the ground level is truly horrible. Second, I cleared out my storage unit, and had a few bits of furniture that I wanted to donate. I noticed this location has a space for people to share unwanted furniture in good condition. A green space for repurposing furniture. As I was placing these items, a staff member yelled at me and told me that wasn't a dumpster. I explained their own signage to her and that the sign only says no mattresses. One of the first items I placed was an AC. As she was yelling at me, a gentleman asked for the AC. So he was modeling the purpose od that space. She continues to yell at me in front of other patrons and then begins critiquing my items. She said it was dirty. 1. It was sitting in storage for 1 year and 2. It was outside patio furniture. I showed her that it was very easy to clean. She then said when no one takes it its her job to put it in the dumpster and the dumpster is full, so we can't leave anything there. I explained the Uhaul signs to her again. She then pointed at my boyfriend and said, "that's the last thing you put there. You can't add anything else. This isn't a dumpster." It's clear this person did not understand the purpose of this space, but to be rude, yell at and berate me in front of other patrons was honestly so embarrassing. I follow rules. I wasn't dumping trash. It was good furniture. So good, someone came to pick up stuff as we were arguing back and forth. I get other people might dump trash there, but I obviously was not doing that. I also am tempted to bring this to the blogs. I am sure the people of Park Slope would like to know that they lightly worn furniture that they are donating to the space is being brought to a dumpster.

MICHAEL A | Online Move InThe customer service interaction was GREAT . However getting there a bit late and nobody to assist was frustrating. I saw someone but he moved so fast that I couldn’t get out the van in time to shout out to him for help navigating the system and dropping off my stuff. I PAID FOR MIVING HELP that day and couldn’t get my moneys worth. So because of that issue I had to leave with ALL OF MY STUFF IN THE U-HAUL , drop off my Helper then park it close to the place I’m moving my things in overnight and return and PAY Another MOVING FEE to 2 Guys that hang out to assist customers. I ended up getting a MONTH FREE. But the STRESS OF HAVING THE VAN PACKED UP SITTING ON THE STREET WAS STRESSFUL. I hope for All this trouble that my it is worth it.
pamela p | Online Move InMy access code did not work, repeatedly. A very kind and patient staff member tried to help me and the code didn't work for her either. After a few attempts, she created a new access code--which also did not work. It took several attempts by an employee for me to gain access. While waiting for the elevators, several other customers complained about the same issue. Also, it seems excessive--and annoying--to have people check in outside the elevators and then again in the elevators. Thankfully, everything else went smoothly!
Kristen S | Online Move InThe door and hallway size doesn’t fit the item I got the unit for. I hauled the thing up the stairs and tried to get it in and it didn’t fit. Having a unit this big and not being able to fit what I got the unit for is wildly insane.
