Paige R | Overall ExperienceThe entire staff at U-haul Portsmouth was so great and kind! I’ve been to a lot of u-haul locations over the past 4 years and I had the best service. They took the time to help me with my storage unit and with my trailer! Would definitely recommend this location for any uhaul needs!

BRENDAN C | First ImpressionsWhile old, the facility and storage room were fine for my needs, as they were not long term (just 2 months). The staff was helpful, especially since they seemed greatly understaffed. I had two issues. The first was there were always U-Haul trailers or customer cars blocking the loading door. I had to ask someone to move each time I tried to access my unit. So ‘loading only’ spaces would be a great idea. The second issue was that my promo was not honored. When I booked the unit, I also booked a truck so I was eligible for one month free storage. It didn’t show up on my contract, so I went in the same day to get it updated. The person working said he could not make that change and that I’d have to contact the GM. I went back 2 times to get this rectified but he wasn’t there. When I went to close out the unit, he was on duty, so I asked him to apply the credit. He was a bit abrupt and said ‘this was two months ago, I can’t do that - ‘. He told me I needed to have come back or call right when it happened. I explained to him that I did just that and the person working told me that they couldn’t help and to come back and talk to Jimmy (which I attempted several times). He then told he me works 6 days a week and, again, that he couldn’t give me the credit. I was quite disappointed.

Seems the latch was broken on the second floor for over 4 months and I was tired of having someone hold the door while someone else pushed the button to the elevator. Moved everything to more operative storage space.
