Valerie M. | First ImpressionsWas on site with my own RV and heard an alarm go off somewhere on site of another vehicle. repeatedly tried to call the front office, kept getting rolled over to the 800 number and this was during business hours. further no effort was made to patrol the site after I finally got through to report it (30 minutes later), no follow up call was ever made to me even after leaving my number. I did not feel my expensive investment was being properly looked after. Quite disappointed.
george m. | Overall ExperienceWhen I went to park my boat, I discovered someone else was in my spot, store rep said she couldn't do any thing so she just refunded the money and I could tell that can care less if I become a customer or not, she could care less if I was satisfied or not. It would have been nice if staff check availability of the spot before you post that online as availability and not when customer pays for it, then gets there with the 25 food boat just to learn that the spot is taken. Lazy, unprofessional staff.
Kristina F. | Online Move InI made a reservation for an RV spot weeks ago. I thought I would pay for it to get ahead of things. Obviously a mistake the computer moved me into that spot that day which was weeks ahead of my reservation. And because it said I moved in did not allow me to edit anything. It took days before somebody answered the phone at that location. They they would fix it and refund my money which they did I immediately looked at my email receipt, And nowhere does it say I still have a reservation for my initial time it also said I moved myself in- again. Finally got a hold of the location and they explain to me I will never be 100% guaranteed a space because of a reservation. I don’t understand what the reservation is Four, if not to guarantee you your place? You cannot pre-pay for anything in the future. I guess you have to take your chances the day you move in and bring your credit card and hope for the best?
Lynnell w. | Online Move InThere was a few mix ups with the storage unit that I was granted free for 30 days due to my move wirh Uhaul. My first issue was obtaining the storage, where it took me several trips back and forth between fhe storage and the office, since the unit I was granted was locked by someone else. A couple weeks later, I returned to find the unit I was granted locked out due to no payment. Somehow my information was not attached in the system for the unit given. Once that was clear, I ended up waiting for an hour to find out the staff lost the lockout key, and they had to cut their lock off so I could access the unit. Although the storage and location and security were great, trying to obtain and use my unit was a poor experience.
Scott S. | Overall ExperienceUhaul has been a nightmare since day 1. Thousands of dollars spent to have one problem after another with little to no communication or satisfactory result. I have spent hours on the phone, sent dozens of emails to have my complaints addressed. If I could take Uhaul to court to get reimbursed for my time & frustration I absolutely would. Whether it had to do with truck rentals, storage reservation after driving 1000 miles to be told our reservation was "not really a reservation" spending needless amounts of money to reschedule movers scheduled to unload Uhaul- just complete incompetence every single time. The last fiasco was ordering a 26' ft truck to unload a storage locker only for my husband to start truck at facility to find out catalytic converter had been stolen out of it right there at uhaul facility. Having then to take 20' truck costing us money for movers having to make 2 loads vs one load. I could go on & on. Emptying our storage locker on 15th of month with no reimbursement for other PAID for two weeks we didn't utilize. Unacceptable. How Uhaul pulls off their operation on a daily basis is a mystery.
