I vacated the unit the morning of Sunday June 22, 2025. I regret using your facility. It was filthy when movers arrived there from day one. My things have dead & alive bugs/ insects on them,, moths, dirty, dusty & smell unclean. Rodent droppings were noted. The facility is said to be climate controlled but clearly is not. The humidity & heat indoors could be compared to a sauna. 100% humidity indoors. Absolutely disgusting. The floor in the unit was beyond filthy. It’s also next to impossible most of the time to reach the totowa facility. I was being fwd. to the main office due to no answer locally &/or being put on hold for a really long time. I .i was overcharged for another month after I vacated unit. I still have NOT received a call back. Person I spoke with at main office was not helpful at all & very rude. I would not recommend unless you don’t care about what you’re storing .

I would give excellent but when I moved out it took almost two months for them to finally close my storage contract, they charged me even I already move out. I have to call and go personally. It really was a disappointing experience to move out. But I love the facilities and storage rooms, but the customer service was horrible.

We were renting a trailer for our car and they gave us our first month of storage free with no contract or lease agreement. Stephanie at the Totowa location went above and beyond and even stayed later to help us unhook our trailer and made our move in practically effortless.

I even sent messages to the CEO Joe Shoen, as the website instructed, and even he did not respond. I will never use Uhaul again and will not only NOT recommend to others, I will strongly encourage anyone I care about to use another company. I plan on leaving bad reviews anywhere I can find. No one should go through what I went through.
