The plastic fuel tank vent cap had been removed assuming to siphon gas before we picked up at location. We did not notice until we filled tank and were driving cross country and the gas was leaking all over the car we were towing and along side of the uhaul truck. Luckily we were able to find the problem and reattach the vent cap. Unfortunately it cost us a lot of extra money in fuel and having to have the towed car professionally detailed to remove the gas. We know it was before we got the truck because when we drove it off the lot we immediately got gas and the check fuel cap warning came on and did not go off until we fixed the problem in Utah.
