I did a self drop off, but I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the place. They had a nice wide area for me to back the trailer in. I would definitely use them for the origination of a trailer rental based on what I saw yesterday.

The Hometown Storage location in Azle is an excellent facility to rent UHaul equipment and buy products. The gentleman servicing customers is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Also, they are conveniently located just west of Azle on Hwy 199.
Perry LThe lady at the front was very kind and very helpful. It is rare these days to have someone so positive and kind in customer service. I was thankful for her. I do not like the self check out and self return system. I had a limited amount of time, and the first day the self-check out system was down, so I had to go inside. I uploaded my information the night before and it didn't save somehow. It just took longer than I was expecting it to, especially given that I did it all the night before. The self-return was working but I had already walked back to the key return, and then realized I had to turn the truck back on, and open the loading door (which was difficult due to it being an older truck) and it took longer than I was expecting as well. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, just different than what I expected. Again, the customer service was excellent, it could have been miserable if not for her positive demeanor and kindness. I just apparently don't do well with technology! :-)
Richard RThe associate who “helped” me is the laziest employee I’ve ever seen at uhaul. To the extent that I had to go pull the truck myself, when the truck was parked less than 12 inches of another truck on either side. The truck has a faulty 2nd gear, to the point that the front of the truck “skirts” to a halt as your accelerating. When checking out I told the guy one day, but if I was lucky it would be about 6 hours. So as soon as the 6 hours is up, I start getting calls, texts, etc about the truck. I’m like woah, I’m not doing anything wrong here. So I return the truck early. Upon return that same lazy employee tells me I have to park the truck in the back of in between the trucks (where it’s like 2ft or less of clearance). I refuse, I tell him there’s no way I can safely do that and I’m not going to risk damage to the truck. The employee tells me I have to do it. So I refuse again and again. I have to raise my voice that I will not risk the truck. He finally scuffs his feet, scowls his face, and huffs at me. Then says okay it’s gonna cost you. I go inside but no one else is there. I ask to complete the checkout process, but he refuses and says he’ll do it later and I should leave. So I’m quite certain he’s added charges and done other unscrupulous things.
Travis WEasy return and super friendly and helpful
