Worst rental experience of my life and I’m still waiting for a call back from management to fix billing. Awful!
Jason BI am very dissatisfied with the fuel charge during the return process. The van was provided to me with a full tank, and before returning it, I went to a gas station and refueled it until the pump automatically stopped. I could not safely add any more fuel. However, the fuel gauge still did not display completely full, and the U-Haul return system charged me an additional $16.50 for fuel. I reported the actual fuel gauge reading honestly rather than selecting “Full,” and I do not think I should be penalized for doing so when I had already filled the tank until the pump automatically stopped. I have the gas receipt and return photos as evidence. Please review and refund the $16.50 fuel charge. I also suggest improving the return process so customers are not automatically charged simply because the vehicle's fuel gauge does not accurately reflect a physically full tank.
